Very poor calculation tbh
"That's a reasonable view though isn't it, those midfielders were practically on the cusp of a quadruple last season and it should be enough for 3 different midfields."
Being on the cusp of the quadruple, and failing to win one of the big two is exactly why I thought we needed a fresh injection of players in the squad, and I mean 2 or 3 replacements in the first team.
We stuck, rather than twisted and I think the emotional and physical strain of last season and the way it ended has really really affected the squad.
Not sure it would have done that had we added a couple of midfielders and left footed attacked in addition to Nunez in the first XI.
I dare say, selling Salah might have been the right call.

Lets see. He is not the only recently new contracted player to have a slump. Just look at Trent, Hendo, VVD, Robbo and Fab.

Don't disagree but I don't think the market was there for most of those, and Trent is still very young.
who'd have stumped up the massive fee we'd have demanded?

Yeah, Madrid. Pretty sure it was Madrid who were interested since they didn't get Haaland or Mbappe.
People may well have lost their minds but I think a shake up would have done us some favours.

Sounds like Keita is no longer even open to contract negotiations so I'm hoping we sell him in Jan.
No idea why he's seemingly turned against the club who've backed him despite being made of biscuits.

He won't leave unless we give him a early bosman. He is probably looking to leave on a free next summer so he can make some nice money on a signing on fee.

I'm being irrational about this as he does appear to be genuinely injured rather than frozen-out by Klopp, but I've lost a lot of patience and tolerance for Keita this season. Coming-off a decent season as well, very annoying

If he leaves on a free it’ll go down as one of our worst ever signings. He showed glimpses of what he was capable of last season, so to then run his contract down would be a kick in the teeth. He should be offering to play for half his current contract after all the support he’s had, ungrateful little oik.
If that's true about Keita he can fack off to the reserves for the year.
Horrific singing, I'd put him down as bad as Carroll.

Last summer is on Klopp as much as it is on the owners. Giving Milner a new contract and then saying we have 8-9 midfielders so no space was a huge mistake. The injury prone lot got injured and then lastminute.com he asks for a new midfielder. FSG had already closed the accounts and we ended up with another hologram in Arthur.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What a laod of nonsense. It's been stated many times we were always looking for a midfielder. Klopp admitted verbatim that Tchouameni chose Madrid over us and we remained open to signing the right midfielder all summer.
Honestly, why make up these lies and hogwash just to have a pop at anyone and everything? Amazing psyche.
