Henderson racism allegations now from Gabriel. This was why the idiot ref went to managers for a 10 minutes conversation. Very much doubt Hendo would ever say anything.

He’s one of the last players in the whole league I would expect to do that. Though unfortunately these days it seems to be irrelevant if you did say anything or not….

Hendo would never ever do that. He isn't stupid to say such things and especially as the captain of our club.

Where the hell do we go from here then?

Injuries mounting up yet again, squad looks absolutely exhausted and tactically, physically and mentally we just aren't anywhere near the races.

The only remote positive from yesterday was Darwin scoring but that's it. Really really dire times this season.

Between Arsenal's both goals in the first half we did alright but that in itself is the problem. We can only impose ourselves once the opposition drops off and allows us to play a bit...the moment they start pressing us we crumble again.

The team looks shot...they just don't have the fight in them sadly. Whether it's the mental preparation from the coaching team or the player themselves, it's done.

We've been elite from 2018 to 2022 with probably the same core group of 15 to 20 players. Any team in the world will feel the fatigue from that.

How many points do you get for that?

69-73 usually gets you 4th spot. That is the aim now. We managed to pull things through 2 years ago when we lost 6 games on the bounce at home. Need to show character again.

Theyve been sheit all season and the sad thing is most of them have recently been rewarded with big contracts at the end of their careers.

Klopp and his staff need to find the next pieces of the puzzle and learn from this lesson. Need to find some players to bind the young lot we have together but first and foremost he needs to find a system that suits them. Jota nunez diaz konate elliott jones carvalho etc

Especially in this form he needs to build the team around the next generation and stop doing it around salah vvd etc idc how much theyre on theyve been nowhere near good enough and frankly everyone of them should be donating their wages to charity or refunding the fans tickets.

Thought we actually played quite well for large parts of the game yesterday which is a big positive as we'll beat most teams if we play like that.

However it's once again a case of we're making the most basic defensive errors, and we're getting punished almost every single time we make them.

Apparently this change to have Salah out wide came from Pep. That's been a tactical disaster class.

Someone did an article showing the similarities we had to Lijnders setup at NEC...can't remember who though

We could also be off the caffeine this season...who knows

So is it time to triple captain Haaland, that's the question...

The only thing we have left to protect is VVD unbeaten Anfield record.

I dunno, I get why people are losing their patience, but I also remember our horrendous run a couple of seasons ago (which was worse than the run we're on now).

Trent was a cancer who should go in the reserves, Mane had lost his pace and was in decline, Firmino was done, etc, etc.

Forms is temporary and class is permanent. I have absolutely no problem continuing to back players who have done so well for us and are in their prime, just as the manager is.

Each to their own though.

I though there were many positives yesterday fwiw. Get City out of the way and crack on.
