No, we want an owner who is willing to invest some of their own money into the club for the PLAYING SQUAD eg Boehly, City, PSG etc. No one cares about the stadium or training ground yet FSG think otherwise. Prospective players won't be enticed by a shiny training ground. They want to see quality players around them and other quality being brought in.
We have spent a measly £35m this summer when in reality we should be looking at way over £100m. Still need 2 more CM, RB and CB. FSG clearly hoping we can sell someone for big money to fund the rebuild.

Of course people care about the stadium ffs. It means greater revenue to keep up with the other non-state owned clubs.
The transfer window is barely open that’s why we’ve spent £35m. I don’t know any club that’s signed more than 1 player.

The priority is always the playing squad. You have to keep that competitive, first and foremost. No point having a shiny stadium and training ground if your squad is nowhere up to scratch. That's where they got it wrong abd Boehly has got it right. Okay, the signings may not have had the impact he expected but he realised quickly that you invest in the squad first. City are the same.
Build a quality squad and then worry about the stadium later.

Yeah. If the club wants the player then just come to the table with your best offer and if it's not enough then move on to another target that the club wants. Don't get suckered in by the effects of football doping and made to look stoopid while rivals run rings around you on the pitch.
Also, imagine a world where a spotty student is sat on a park bench eating his Tesco meal deal referring to £35,000,000.00 as 'measly'

All deals should have been signed off as soon as the window opened. No messing about. Pay the selling club what they want and get the players in. We know Klopp likes to faff about with new signings and let them "bed in". The later we leave it the more likely we'll be stuck playing Fab, Hendo and Thiago against Chelsea. Iddally, we should the squad he wants in place for Day 1 of pre-season training.

This is my concern with Mac. Don't remember us really having anyone rivals when trying to sign him. If he is as good as some of you are making out then Bayern, Real, Barca, PSG, City, Atletico etc would have been all over it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest, I think this is a fair comment but I think this assumes that we have perfect knowledge through the press of exactly which clubs enquire for who and how far they get. It's perfectly possible City enquired too but we were already advanced, or Klopp managed to sell LFC to him as he has done with other players.
Also, we purposely avoid going for the limelight or hyped-up players and I'm glad we do - Caicedo has a big 'buy me' tag around his neck and his price I feel is inflated, and it's all very exciting if you're into new toys and transfers but I don't think that's good value. Value is obviously very important, and self-explanatory hopefully
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's really not a fair comment. Aside from the very valid point you made about whether any of us really know who is interested in who (irrespective of media links) then what does it really tell us about the likely quality of the player?
If you take some of the more recent successes; who competed with City for the signings of De Bruyne? Rodri? Bernardo? Maybe there were links but I don't recall City beating the likes of RM or Bayern or PSG to those signings.
Who did we beat for Salah? Mane? Firmino? Who did Arsenal beat for Odegaard?
Trying to link the possible success of a signing to whether the media report alternative clubs is just utter nonsense.

We signed Mane and VVD from southampton, Wij from a relegated newcastle, Robertson from Hull, Henderson from Sunderland, Firmino from Hoffenheim, Jota from Wolves.

If you say so. I'm not the one who thinks signing someone from Brighton and possibly a Midfielder that Bayern are desperate to get shut of will fire us back into the Champions League.
I'm also not the one who seems to think FSG are the best possible owners for us when the evidence over the last 3 years points to the contrary. Each to their own I guess...

Some people want FSG to fack off, who have delivered success on the pitch and off it, on the off chance that Jeff Bezos might one day want to own Liverpool FC. My goodness. Talk about genuine stupidity that the internet is famous for.

Also, prices mean fack all. Haaland cost half as much as Anthony if prices quoted in the media are to believed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah. If the club wants the player then just come to the table with your best offer and if it's not enough then move on to another target that the club wants. Don't get suckered in by the effects of football doping and made to look stoopid while rivals run rings around you on the pitch.

When a club is valued at £2billion then £35m is 1.8% so yes it can be valued as measly.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh I agree with you, I was being charitable

If you say so. I'm not the one who thinks signing someone from Brighton and possibly a Midfielder that Bayern are desperate to get shut of will fire us back into the Champions League.
I'm also not the one who seems to think FSG are the best possible owners for us when the evidence over the last 3 years points to the contrary. Each to their own I guess...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is the fact he played for Brighton important to you?
We signed Mane and VVD from southampton, Wij from a relegated newcastle, Robertson from Hull, Henderson from Sunderland, Firmino from Hoffenheim, Jota from Wolves.
The majority of those players went on to win the EPL and CL with us. Brighton is irrelevant and you make yourself look daft when you keep referencing it.
