5 year deal then sign an extension 12 months later for a further 2 years. So the cost would now be spread out over 7 years? or am i misunderstanding it

Kind of nuts. I think they were always going to be in a good position to spend like this once the stadium was paid off, during the Wenger era but Kroenke is really going for it

My brother in law is a gunner and shared something with me yesterday explaining their current squad cost only now matches ours. Didn't feel right to me to be honest but their transfer fees and wages are rising all the time recently

100mil is a average season of spending these days...as mental as that sounds

The midtable teams can do it with ease these days.
