Where as vvd has done multiple 38 game seasons with most the CL games etc too barring the big injury.

Its the same thing, 3 of them struggling to do what virgil does himself.

Yep, that's all fine but to suggest that Konate, Matip and Gomez historically struggle to cover the rcb position is, well, let's call it erroneous.

What would be good is if we can bounce Tsimikas out the door for a half decent fee (he's on pretty low wages £50k I think) and bring in a LCB. That'd be a good trade for the squad and system.

I’d have loved a CDM but I think we’re stocked with quality and depth in midfield now. Thiago, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones, Elliot, Bajcetic and Endo is a huge amount of choice.

We are still quite badly lacking an LCB but for the midfield I’d rate the window 7/10.

They haven't. It makes a big story for the deadline day as they don't have a real one yet.

What they gonna bid, this late? What would tempt us? Personally anything under 200m would be an insult at this point. Itd have to be crazy money for us to even entertain the idea.

Saudi window doesn't shut until the 7th. I reckon a few clubs and players may have to make some tough decisions before they shut theirs.

Jones been back in training since Tuesday apparently so he'll at past be on the bench.

Bajcetic back in full training too. Maybe bench

Good stuff.

Didn't think we'd see Konate send Thiago until after the internationals anyway. Give a few of the lads that aren't away some good time on the training pitch.
