Nobody knows how high the Saudis willl go at this stage. £250m probably gets him.

I agree, this goes beyond money. Would be a massive own goal by the owners to let him go now and I don’t think they’re that daft. 150-200m at the beginning of January and it might be a different matter.

If they offer a quarter of a billion pounds for a 31 year old then I reckon they take it.

Ye I wonder if we can agree a deal for January with them. They might be happy enough with that and we get a commitment of money and time to find a replacement.
