Reina's form was on the down before the January interest from Arsenal. Valero left with Benitez.

But in fairness, I think he was pretty fed up long before that, with all the H &G stuff and players leaving. Basically, I think his head was gone. Ideally, it would of been good if Reina had stayed to compete with Mig, but I got the impression he wanted to be No 1 keeper or nothing.

Here's our recent keepers off the top of my head:-

Reina - Head pretty much gone. Doubtful a coach could of had such a dramatic influence on his ability at his stage of his career.

Jones - Just not a good keeper.

Mignolet - Didn't see him at Sunderland, has he always had the issues he has with us?

Bogdan - Many said he wasn't up to it before he came. Seems they were right.

Ward - Looked good when I watched him in the reserves, and apparently been excellent at Aberdeen. So not much wrong thus far.

So really, the only one that could possibly be attributed to our present coach is Mignolet. I have no idea if the coach is good or bad, I've never seen the bloke. But if he was as bad as some of you experts say, then surely Klopp would of gotten rid of him as soon as he arrived? Not to mention he survived Brendan's end of season cull....

It seems the club, assuming meaning the committee, were interested in Pato, but Klopp vetoed the idea. A good sign that Klopp is a far stronger character than Brendan, who I think did identify good targets, but too easily gave in to the committee.....

Nothing wrong with the commitee, empire of the kop is such a great source though..

Maybe he shouldn't have been on a beach while wenger was meeting him, im really not sure how its the committees fault, they dont do the buying they just identify

Oh and costa rejected us since falcao left and he was finally going to play striker..

Ayre does the 'deals' but wenger took the chance and met up with sanchez to get him to sign, and tbf i dont blame sanchez for choosing arsenal over us, they were in a better position

Wenger doesnt do negotiations either but still made the trip...
