I don't know how anyone can say something like that. Doesn't make sense to me but I digress.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well on a basic level it's difficult to argue with, both the performance and result against Utd were disappointing. Ultimately we dropped 2 points.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you can say we tried rotation and it failed because we didn't get a result against United?
You're saying that's difficult to argue with?
Ok, carry on lads.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You take one part of my post of decide to only respond to that?! Come on.
I never said we tried and failed rotation because of Utd. Didn't even hint at that.
For absolutely clarity, I completely understand and support the need for rotation. It's essential these days with the volume and intensity of matches. But the degree to which you rotate and the timing of that rotation is context specific.
Right now I believe we need continuity more than we need rest. I think our last half a dozen games have shown that the team is struggling a little and I believe that consistency in selection helps that.
If you disagree then I'd be interested to hear why.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Struggling? But but but... we have the best defence and third best attack!?!? Sorry, couldn't resist.
Seriously though, I see it a bit different. The team is struggling but with the same players starting mostly. Mac wasn't too great before his stunner against Fulham, Szobo has been off the boil etc. And Klopp plays them every game fitness permitting.
I don't get your point because you say we are struggling the last few weeks, a period during which I can't think of a change that wasn't forced or necessary. I wouldn't say we have been rotating the team this season, except this last week.
With the busier schedule and Arsenal being one of the most crucial games of the season, I think it's a good time to rotate, which would then allow us to rotate very little the rest of the year and hopefully win Prem games. Would hate to lose a Konate, VVD or TAA because of this game.
Knowing Klopp we will probably see very little rotation for this one though.
Struggling? But but but... we have the best defence and third best attack!?!? Sorry, couldn't resist.

I said that in response to you saying the inverted system does work and that you think that not only should Joe Gomez start for us, but also that the only reason he doesn’t is because of Klopps ego.
I think he plays Trent inverted to create a box midfield.
It’s very hard to take you seriously and if I’m honest I don’t think you know the game. Like, at all. I also think you say contrary things to get attention.
You will write a lot of words, saying very little at all, and probably add a smiley.

Your first paragraph is a joke. Completely untrue and amazing that you've either already forgotten what I said or can't read very well. Looking at what I said and what you're saying, I can only laugh. Why didn't you check first and avoid looking stoopid?
I never said start Gomez, I said not inverting would allow us to play a right back. It could possibly be Gomez, a new signing or anyone else that can play there. I also pointed out the discussion wasn't about individuals, but about the system, which you don't seem to be able to grasp.
I also didn't say Klopp won't play Gomez because of ego. I said Klopp won't play TAA in midfield because of ego. Take your time to process that and you will notice a difference.
And you have the audacity to post all this excrement and then immediately go on a righteous tirade about me not knowing the game and how you don't take me seriously and I say things for attention. If I was you I'd put down the bong.
In a hopefully less fraught change of topic...
Sepp VDB apparently having a great loan out to Mainz, still only 22. Would be great if he made it into the team too but it depends on Klopp's ego
In a weird coincidence, it's Sepp's birthday today
I'll get a card sent out to him. Thanks

He's still pretty young tbh but Quansah's 18 months younger and already looking like a mature squad member.
Reckon this is a shop window loan, hopefully get a half decent fee from a German club.
Sepp can play right back too a bit like Ben White
I remember seeing highlights of his loan at Preston and was shocked how rapid he was for someone so tall, seems similar to Gomez in that respect. Also he scored against Dortmund the other day.
Only thing if he did come back to Liverpool, we would have quite a few young CBs and one older one in Van Dijk with only Gomez in the middle. Maybe not an issue but that's not heaps of experience. Hopefully VVD still has a good few years in him
Speaking of players in Germany, I just saw on Twitter than Keita has played a grand total of 80 minutes since leaving and is currently out with a cold

I can understand 'upset'. I'd be upset if my salary went down by £80k a week!
'Shocked' is a little more difficult to understand....

As a club they have to combat it, clearly far too many tickets are being sold to the prawn sandwich brigade and not enough to passionate supporters.
Idk how a club goes about doing that? maybe offer tickets as a priority to away fans to give to their family/friends? basically stop making it all about money, who can afford the tickets.
it was obvious most those who turned up expected to roll utd over and most expect to be entertained rather than going to anfield to get behind their team and show support.
Sad really, but reality is the strategy in selling tickets has lead to this, the price increases etc so its o n the club/owners.
