Look at the game against Arsenal last season, the crowd was flat and we were 2 down and getting comprehensively out played. Xhaka kicked Trent it got the crowd going, the crowd got our lads going and we were a different side.

Not really, the crowd reacted to an incident in the game after previously sitting there doing nothing for most of the first half.

I didn't say the ground was full of people just there for the experience, you said that. I said many people are there to watch the game through there phones and post it on socials, which sadly is true of modern day football.

To a point I agree with Klopp but it’s also quite entitled from the manager. We’ve been putting in some pretty abject performances over the past few weeks and Saturday was a really terrible performance. Fans are spending huge amounts of money for a day out at the football so being told off for being one way or another does seem a little arrogant from the club.

They're not spending money for "a day out", the moment you step in that stadium with any affiliation at all to Liverpool you have a job to do. For the fans it's to make it as intimidating as possible for the visiting team and as motivating as possible for their team. They failed embarrassingly.

Are crowds what they used to be anywhere in England? No, and a lot of that will be to do with money. Pay a pound a minute and you’ll want entertaining. Sometimes it’s the teams job to get the crowd going, and visa versa.

Can you speak any of the language? I speak a fair bit but haven’t ever actually spoken to Japanese folks so no idea if it would even be passable!

None at all, we got by just fine with very broken, basic Japanese and English to be honest. Biggest issue for us was restaurants as my wife is vegetarian and the Japanese just don't understand that as a concept apparently

I did Tokyo on a 3 day stopover a few years ago and they will not engage with you in English even if they can speak English. The City itself was amazing.

One thing I'd recommend, look into the remote wi-fi dongle thing. It connects to 4G/5G and you carry it around, and meant we both had perfect wi-fi the whole trip (even in outskirts, and on the Shinkansen)
