That was much better from Dom. This might be music to Mamba ears but he looks so much better when we don't invert.

Of course he does. I'm always right.

it was obvious most those who turned up expected to roll utd over and most expect to be entertained rather than going to anfield to get behind their team and show support.

Sad really, but reality is the strategy in selling tickets has lead to this, the price increases etc so its o n the club/owners.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The ticket strategy and high prices are not just at Liverpool, they're at every club so any club could use this excuse. Our fans are usually very good especially for the big games. Haven't seen this ticket and prices angle until now. What was our ticket strategy and prices for the games where the fans were good this season? Did this United game have some different ticket rules? How do you explain fans being good in one game and sheet the next game when ticket prices and strategy was the same for both games?

It's not that I agree with the ticket strategy or high prices, my point is it's just being dragged up now as an excuse. Sometimes the team should also take some of the responsibility for being so sheet and giving the fans nothing IMO.

T!tty only happy when others aren’t happy.

Why don’t you get a ticket and show them how it’s done? I’m sure if you can get the whole crowd screaming at the players, wishing disease on them for every misplaced pass, the players will be inspired no end…..

I know foreign fans are an easy target but I think part of the problem is the lads who've had a season ticket for 40+ years, understandably don't want to give it up as they'd never get another one with the waiting list, but means there's far less 20/30 year olds in the stands who can actually sing all game.

Klopp was spot on with that. The atmosphere was pathetic on Sunday. Hopefully the supporters in the stadium react on Saturday.

Make some noise against Woolwich lads!

To a point I agree with Klopp but it’s also quite entitled from the manager. We’ve been putting in some pretty abject performances over the past few weeks and Saturday was a really terrible performance. Fans are spending huge amounts of money for a day out at the football so being told off for being one way or another does seem a little arrogant from the club.

Little conflicted on this one

Klopp wouldn't have said anything if we'd been playing Burnley (for example) next, he wants a raucous atmosphere against Arsenal. Fair enough. I think he'll get the reaction he wants.

Back to last night, anyone else impressed with the turn of speed and directness from Curtis for the 5th goal? I know it was late in the game and he was running at tired legs but just to pick it up and run directly to goal at pace, I didn't appreciate he had that in the locker.

Only sing when we’re winning?

Main Event Curtis Jones

posted on 21/12/23

Jones has always had that kind of goal in his locker but lacked confidence. That was how he used to play at youth level. Let's hope we see more from him. His issue of late has always been down to bad timing injuries.

He also gets the most weird injuries lol

If you want fans that are going to sing then reduce ticket prices so working class and young fans can afford it and make less money.

Our game away v Brentford in February has been given the 12:30 slot.

This is getting to be a joke.

posted on 21/12/23

In fact just seen this:

Clubs can be selected in TNT's 12.30pm slot a maximum number of six times per season (minimum of one). Liverpool will be up to five when they travel to Brentford in February, with four of those having come away from home and three coming directly after international breaks.

This was a great watch. Sky clearly got Klopp on a good mood and it was before Matip's injury:

We've accumulated 10/12 points from the 12:30pm kick offs this season so far, with the dropped points being away at City.

The kick off time is the same for both teams. I know many posters are bothered about this, I don't really understand why. Apparently Arsenal/City have more evening (EPL) games than us - haven't checked that btw, I was just told - is that fair/advantage/disadvantage? Don't really see the issue there either. We all play the same teams home and away.

I don’t really buy into the stuff about us always being poor in either. We were crap in them last year but we were crap all season. This year they have been good for us.

With some of these tough away trips I think it helps somewhat. I’d rather play some of them at 12:30 when it’s quiet rather than under lights- e. away at Crystal Palace. Again rather play Brentford at that time whereas last year we played there under lights and they thrashed us. This time we will have a week rest in the lead up to it.

It’s just the international break factor really which is annoying, as we have so many South Americans which return so late.

Makes the weekend that extra bit sweeter when you win too, and heaps pressure on your rivals.

I am amazed we aren’t on that slot this weekend though having played Wednesday night. Schedulers have gone to the second best solution of giving it to West Ham who of course were the only team to play away from home on Wednesday night

They're not spending money for "a day out", the moment you step in that stadium with any affiliation at all to Liverpool you have a job to do. For the fans it's to make it as intimidating as possible for the visiting team and as motivating as possible for their team. They failed embarrassingly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If they have a “job to do” then the club shouldn’t be charging them through the nose for it. You can’t have it both ways

If you can’t see why it’s more difficult for clubs to continually play the 12:30 kick off after international breaks when an important contingent on our team play outside of Europe then I question how much you’re really thinking about it.
