For some reason we don’t do well after long breaks aswell. Remember the 19/20 season and first game back was Norwich and we struggled to a 1-0. Szobo is injured now and all of sudden our squad is really going to be tested. Let’s see if we can strengthen in the windows maybe.

Amazing performance last night. As Carragher said, our best of the season so far. For Newcastle to still score 2 goals from basically 2 shots aswell is concerning. Mac back as a 6 doesn’t work for me but we have no choice now.

well we do have a choice the windows open. Could unsettle the squad though but theres still work to be done with the squad thats for sure. So the Asian games final is the 10th Feb and AFCON the 11th. Good chance Japan get that far, that region is poverty in football standards. Not so sure about Egypt, it’s all a little more uncertain in that region. But that’s potentially 6/7 weeks without them, which is gutting.

Good it's only 1 league game but it's away to Bournemouth who arguably the most in form team in the league at the moment.

Going to be a tough game, especially without Salah.
