We played with ten when Gakpo came on. He can't play as a striker. Subing Salah, Szobo and Robbo changed the game in their favour. We didn't take our chances. They did. We gifted them two goals. They had eight days to prepare for this game. Klopp needs to learn how to shut off games. Our final ball was poor. But we deserve to lose if we let in four goals against a poor Man Utd team

Still no cup wins there in 100 years. The run continues.

Amazing game though. That’s real football, win or lose, you’ll always love it.

Tbh I hope we get shot of Gakpo. He’s not a good player

Nunez needs to learn from today, his attitude wasn’t there. He was way too complacent

I don't get why we move Nunez out wide when Gakpo comes on.

Gakpo has spent the majority of his career as a LW and yet even when he's not performing at CF we seem determined to play him there.

Will make us more determined to win there in the league.

I’d take that out of the two games

We only have ourselves to blame. Had total control of 2nd half and were way too casual in final 3rd. All of the forwards are to blame as well as Mac and Dom.

Shooting when we needed to pass and passing when needing to shoot. You could see Klopp getting so annoyed with our forward play.

Yep no complaints about the result. Can only think it was over confidence from the players, they thought the game was won in normal time and then in ET. Hopefully it’s a timely kick up the arris for the rest of the season.

Can’t wait till Jota is back. We miss his ruthlessness so much. Hopefully Alli and Trent aswell after the international break.

Yeah imagine if we could actually finish we’d be in an FA cup semi final and 2 points clear in the league. So frustrating.

Every team can use the ‘what if’ cliche though….

Still can't believe that 5 V 2 against Bruno and Maguire and Kakpo bottles it.

Today was one of those games where anything could have happened and the score could have been so different?

I get Liverpool fans will be disappointed and I agree, it is never nice to lose a game you might have expected to win but that's what makes football so good, the uncertainty and inexact science of it all

Yeah this is annoying!

Our decision making was dreadful. Just pass the facking ball to the one in a better shooting position. Defending counter attacks requires very quick mobile players in defence and midfield. Endo doesn't have the legs, when the game is stretched, he isn't a bad player though. I can't wait to have konate back, who can defend the wide right area better than Quansah.

We just needed to shut up shop. United system was a mess. They had Maguire inverting into a target man leaving Bruno and Antony at the back. They flooded the side with attackers. The sensible change should have been to leave Gomez and play a back 5 but Klopp has this obsession of changing full backs. Klopp really had a mare after the Antony goal.

Very rarely does Klopp get games wrong but today was one. No idea why Gomez started at right back I thought he was awful.

Silly to give Bradley a full 90 against Sparta. Such a shame we couldn’t get Salah off in that game.
