It’s a red flag about the manager, but if he’s the right man, he’s the right man. Unless you think the red flag makes him the wrong man.

This is setting alarm bells off for me. He’s a little too eager, as if he can’t believe it’s happening and should be be talking so freely about it to the press?

It's 15m euros. Just move on if they don't agree.

Could be a ploy to get Amorim to lower his own demands, much like the West Ham link could have been one to push us??

Sounds plausible as an opening position but if we wanted him then we would surely have negotiated. I don’t know what he’s on at Sporting but I bet there’s a huge amount of room to negotiate between current salary and a Liverpool salary.

There no way the agent said £10m or we walk. Or if he did he’s the worst agent ever

Something definitely happened for us to walk away.

All rumours though.

I've seen it said he wanted greater control over the squad which was never going to happen after going through all that trouble to get Edwards and Hughes.

No idea if it's true but would make sense.

I know it doesn’t matter to us anymore, but the number of games City seem to have completely sewn up by half time is mad. Must help them stay fresh to just knock it around, taking it relatively easy for so many second half’s.
