I feel like you are both arguing but agreeing with each other completely at the same time, bizarre argument really.

Haha, yeah maybe.

Apologies for my confusion but Fred seems to be saying yes it was a positive and negative whatever the sctual fvck that means.

Arsenal folded at business end? Bottled it.
Spurs third in a three horse race? Bottled it.

Liverpool fold at the end of the season? Well at first it was Klopp said he was leaving which galvanised the team but then it also had a detrimental effect and then we have to add that the crowd also had an effect so in summary it was positive, negative and also add in some stuff that we can’t measure but we should also consider.

Fwiw I do believe we bottled it...for various reasons. One of them being Klopp's announcement and the unquantifiable impact it had on the team mentally.

What do you all think about the new kit? That bit on the neck looks odd but the rest of the kit is banging. Good promo vid too.

It’s the best one we’ve had from Nike I guess but not a huge fan again. Shades of the ‘84 strip?

Of course it’s possible to have a positive then a negative effect ffs. Your biggest mistake is seeing everything in black and white.

Arsenal didn’t bottle it last year, City were just too good. Spurs bottled it though

"Spurs third in a two horse race"

Has there ever been a funnier words ever mentioned in football

So funny wasn't it.

I'm glad Chelsea came back to draw with Villa otherwise we would be in danger of coming 4th in a 3 horser.

It’s either had a NET positive or NET negative effect, so no, it’s not possible to have both unless you’re talking out of your ass.

It’s just made up really isn’t it and if Klopp hadn’t announced he was leaving everyone would simply say the lads bottled, because they did.

We lost a huge amount of experience in our vice captain, captain and longest serving player in Firmino. How Klopp saying something has more effect than that so just don’t know.

But he did announce he’s leaving, so that’s a completely pointless comment.

I’m not sure if it had a NET positive or NET negative impact. Again, stop seeing everything in black and white.

I will if you stop being mealy mouthed conspiracy bell.

If it’s not the crowd then it’s Klopp.

It really is okay to blame the players you know.

Again, what are you on about? The Klopp announcement was a big contributing factor but of course so are the players.

For the third time. It’s not all black and white.

What’s to stay for? I mean do you even have a point? You’ve waded into something me and Kash weee posting about, contradicted yourself at least three times and then proceeded to get personal again.

“It can be everything at once you know”

What a clown.

Would you like me to get personal Fred? Because I’m happy to do so and let’s face it you provide enormous amounts of ammunition.

You’ve had a mare again, Robbing.

I don’t agree.

I mean you’ve literally written it’s had a positive and negative effect when the context was quite clearly if it’s been detrimental. Somehow you’ve come to the conclusion it can be both, got angry, become abusive, got personal and even added some pop psychology.

Right at the end ‘oh the players actually as well’.

I’ll put your ramblings down to a lack of sleep but maybe you should log off for a bit?? Up to you.

I just don’t get what Bayern are doing these days. The sacking of Naglesman seemed iffy, then it’s onto Tuchel and similar, now Ragnick?

Waiting for Klopp maybe? Bad apples need clearing out? It just all seems very un-Bayern.

I can see what your issue is now. Basically if it’s not backed up with a cold hard fact/statistic then it’s infeasible.

Bet you’re dying to burn someone at the stake for all this heresy.

No, not really, I just don’t think Klopp announcing he is leaving is the reason we’ve only won one trophy and finished third.

If I had to push it I’d say that saying it is, is a massive cop out for the players.

So you think there can only be one reason ie the players, as opposed to several contributory factors? That’s pretty narrow minded imo, and surely you can see that when there is a large group of individuals in the same environment and something out of the ordinary happens then there’s a good chance it’s going to have an effect, and that effect will be different for different personalities?

I’m pretty sure no one is saying Klopp leaving is THE reason for the drop off. It’s a combination of things, and it’s usually the case in all walks of life when things go wrong. It’s hardly a controversial school of thought.

posted on 2/5/24

No, I didn’t say that at all. I just don’t think it’s had a detrimental effect. You do and that’s fine.
