A good summer will be a new CB, number 6 who can also play 8 and a right forward. To get a new forward does mean we will have to sell one of the 5 which might be Diaz.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would play Nunez on the left. A full season he gets 10 goals and 10 assists minimum. Probably much more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s in the PL. I mean this season he’s close to 30 goals/assists in all competitions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No easy Ropey league stat padding next year though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you take away penalties then Nunez is scoring the same as Salah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Salah 13
Nunez 11
How is that the same?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool’s head of fitness and conditioning, Andreas Kornmayer, will leave the club this summer. Another backroom vacancy for Arne Slot to fill.
----
Will be interesting if Slot's new man changes our injuries fortunes because I remember an Athletic article suggesting Kornmayer would often overrule the medical staff when it came to how hard he'd push the players.

Souness being on talk crap which is owned by a certain news corporation sitting with Simon Jordan and collectively criticising Mo. Jordan even criticised Salah for his pro Palestine views and was unchallenged on it while spouting the crap.

Only time will tell but I will definitely be keeping an eye on it because I've been confused as hell regarding our injuries for few seasons now
And most of them happen in training
How does a goalkeeper pull his thigh in training
I suspect we’ll see a huge improvement but that may come at the expense of performance when actually fit.
Apparently Slot is more focused on possession and using positioning & movement to open up teams...similar to Pep...or he draws inspiration from Pep in that regard.
So it won't be like Klopp who relied more on the counter-press and hitting teams with lightening quick transitions.
Performance levels might not be that demanding either...who knows
Pep has said a number of times that he does not like his players sprinting.
That’s not as easy on the eye for me, but in some ways even though I’m gutted Klopp is leaving, I’m quite excited by a new approach.
I don't think it'll be total Pep-ball as I'm sure I've read his Feyenoord side are 2nd in Europe for final 3rd pressures.
Sounds like it'll be a bit of a mix between the two styles.
Yeah I'd like to think he found the balance between the two.

I don't think it's him being bad at his job, it was more so suggested Klopp backed him over the medical staff because the players would be fitter on the pitch by being pushed so hard.
As Hoody suggested we might end up with less injuries but at the expense of some performance, so I suppose it's which method would serve us better.

People talk about his pace but I feel there are areas of his games that are still improving.
His creativity, for example, is generally over looked which is weird.
Think admin should create a new page for all these Salah fans. This page is for Liverpool fans.

Come on now. This is getting ridiculous. His creativity isn't improving, he can't go the whole hog like he used to and it's becoming easier to assist than score. It happens to some players when in decline. It's a sure sign of decline. Becoming our penalty taker has also really improved his figures. he didn't used to take penalities when he scores 32 in the league in a season. Without penalties now he can only manage a third of that now.
I know it will fall on deaf ears but I love Salah as much as the next guy. I just don't get star struck like that anymore, and we've suffered in the past with people saying our midfield fell off a cliff when we simply failed to prepare for the future because the midfield was doing well at the time. We had to sign a whole new midfield in one summer. It would be good to have someone vying for the right forward position with Salah, and probably also good for Salah so long as he doesn't throw a strip if not played.
