£100k a week doesn’t sound too much, I think they have to move Ugarte first too.

We’ll see but going to PSG is a bit of a career ender, so I’m still hopeful.

I've never seen Joao Neves play so this is a generic comment; usually DM or deep-lying playmaker isn't a young man's game.

Neves is 19 I believe. Busquets was considered an anomaly when he nailed down the position for Barca at 20. Rodri was 22 when signing for Atletico, 23 when signing for City.

The modern greats of the position - the likes of Kimmich (when he moved to DM), Kante, Mascherano, Casemiro, Pirlo - were all circa 23-25 when they hit stride in the positon. We signed Fabinho at 24.

Maybe Neves is truly exceptional but it's a position that has traditionally needed a bit more experience to excel, certainly in the top leagues for the top clubs.
