seemed relentless though, esp when we lost it, bit more like pep in that regards? not as gung-ho with it where if everyones not ready we're happier to drop off and stay organised too. Slot very animated and involved on the side so he knows what he wants, kept yelling at players and pointing them to the positions they should be in etc esp in build up playing out.

That 2-4 build up in the first phase was interesting.

its asif hes been watching us the last few years, definitely one of the biggest culprits for being turned over in possession and conceding chances easily.

I saw a bit of De Zerbi type of build up. We were provoking Betis to press us so that they leave gaps in behind for exploiting. I think Mac Allister has experience with this style and will thrive.

Good to see some ideas copied and implemented.

He’s not that good and isn’t going to get better. If we get what we paid for him that’d be good business, it’s probably a positive that he’s replaced.

I meant to add that based on the comments by Jones it sounds like we’re going to have a more technical build up, which is comfortably the worst part of his game.
