They should still be fit

Injuries this year will be even worse than last year across the league I’d bet.

Especially under a new manager. In terms of match fitness it's not really an issue, perhaps Gomez only. However in terms of getting up to speed on what the new manager wants to do, it's not ideal.

I guess a lot of it could be done on the training pitch, but obviously it’s difficult to replicate a match situation. It’s the cost of a summer tournament, trying to balance preparation with players getting enough rest.

City, Arsenal and United will be in same position too right?

VVQ has definitely hit the gym it seems.

Yeah most of the fitness stuff will be done on the training pitch. It's matchday sharpness which might take some time coupled with Slot's new approach.

It's not that bad...it's just whether we can stop conceding play in dangerous areas or leave ourselves exposed for absolutely no reason at all. Positioning in & out of possession is one things we need to improve on imo

If Alvarez wants to leave City we should be all over that. He’d be an immense signing. He’ll for sure end up at Arsenal though!

He’s decent but not exactly world class. I’m not sure where we’d play him tbh.

Perhaps I’m being harsh actually, as I do like Alvarez, but I’m still not sure where we’d play him. He’s best as a false 9.

If they can afford it, then Barca would be a great option.

Given money means nothing to City, I can see them only selling him abroad even if that means a much lower fee.
