I think it was more the idea of Salah wanting to go to PSG that was laughed at. It wasn’t me for what it’s worth- can’t remember who it was to be honest, probably just the idiots that love to exaggerate on here.

If they want Salah they will be offering him the world financially you’d imagine, thinking about all the salary capacity they no longer have to pay Mbappe. Paris is an attractive City to live too.

It doesn’t look like the best decision football wise to me but who knows what it factors are most important to Salah in his next contract at this stage. I’ve seen reports saying his preference is to stay here but that’s just speculation currently.

Did you even read the article you linked? All it says is as things stand he hasn't been offered a new deal and PSG and Juventus are two clubs supposedly sniffing around him, and are waiting to make an offer.

I'd expect virtually every big club in Europe will want to make an offer should he not re-sign, so it's literally no new information

Salah and VVD have the power in this negotiation now. They have the signing on fee incentive which is worth millions and does not require moving to Saudi either. We've messed this up big time.

I was being laughed at on here for suggesting that PSG could be sniffing around Mo Salah and FSG could mess things up with his contract situation.

But look at what is now being reported:-

Either way, FSG have now put us in a situation where we should be all talking about 100% start to the campaign and no goals conceded. But instead we are talking about whether or not we will keep our most iconic players next season and a last minute bargain to appease us all.

It should have been sorted 12 months ago but I doubt any of them would have signed once they knew Klopp was leaving.

That is true unfortunately

It does sound as though the club are now making moves on the situation though. News I am hearing is Salah, VVD, Trent and Diaz have all held initial talks about signing new contracts.

It's also encouraging that 3 out of the 4 mentioned all sound as though they want to stay at LFC, the other is a local lad who would more than likely want to stay.

I think the days of players wanting to jump ship have gone for now, Suarez, Couhtino, Mascherano ect....

It now seems that LFC are a more desirable club to be at these days.

Think we just need to be patient, makes sense this was going to take place post-summer window given it was a bit of a messy one for the new guys.

Said it before but I'm relatively confident VVD and Salah will extend, Trent is the one I'm concerned with but being back in the England squad and performing well with a manager who values him - who knows, could be a factor
