He's a very good player. Brentford could struggle if he gets injured as they seem very dependent on him now with Toney gone.

I expected West Ham to be fighting for Europe this season. Surprised how bad they've started.

They’ve done pretty much what Spurs did years ago when they sold Bale, after selling Rice. Just brought in so many players over a short space of time, and there’s no cohesion between them yet. Along with a new manager it will take time.

They had five new signings in their starting 11, and three others in their second season. Plenty were saying how well they’d done in the transfer window, but it’s a huge gamble imo, making so many changes.

That konate assist though guys usually awful with passes above knee height, where did that come from? Felt his progressive passing had a hand in all 3 goals if i recall? He started a bit shaky and that right was targeted and wasnt having the best of games tbf but its where our attacks started.

Felt like Bournemouth were tryna force us there and longballs obv on trent too but they pressed in a way that looked like they were happy for Konate to have it. Slot called it intelligence from Konate to see what was happening and to go long at times. Hopefully he stays fit and keeps improving that side of his game.

Ofc most teams wont come at us like that or play such a high line at Anfield. Or press so high and aggressively.

I love the fact Diaz came in and put in a motm performance after Gakpo did so well on Tuesday against Milan.

Really good competition for places atm, and looks like Jota is being well managed aswell, as he will be needed in the next few months without question as he is clinical.

That first Diaz goal was sublime. The control to round the keeper from a long hopeful ball was amazing. Doesn't get the credit cos Kepa was at fault too but Diaz made him look silly.

He is definitely deserving of a new contract or at least improved terms.

Contracts is where we are failing badly.

He was clearly our best player before the goals too. Hope he keeps this up, we know what he offers off the ball defensively etc if he keeps this up contributing with goals and assists who knows he might get the transfer he and his dad wants to Spain .

Joking aside, end of this season he will be 28, 2 years left on his 35k a week contract. If we're keen on keeping him surely the talk starts now? Hes worth more than 35k anyway without this form. keep him happy secure him until hes 32/3 not just 30 or close to 30?

He's on around £55k per week. But yeah that is still quite low considering.

Someone pointed out the chance Kolo Muani missed in the final against Argentina was a Konate lofted pass. Maybe we've just somehow missed Konate doing this regularly
