Might be an unpopular opinion but I’m not sold on Osimhen.
One stand out season and a few okay to good ones which have less goal involvements than Nunez anyway.

I'm not 100% sold either but that's more him and his agent angling for a move / offering him out around Europe for half the summer.
And he’s on loan in Turkey. That sets all kinds of alarm bells ringing!

Just try to look at every angle. But then I’m not overly influenced by social media. You’d be renewing half the squad every window if you could.
Nunez is in his third season. It would be fair to have expected some real improvement, but it just hasn't materialised. The constant offsides, the poor finishing (especially when he has time to think) and sadly a lack of technical acumen on the ball. His pace and physicality are his assets and he is willing to put a shift in, but his footballing intelligence is poor. He has just over half a season to turn this around, but a hot streak isn't going to persuade too many, he needs to produce consistently good performances which I think he's basically incapable of doing in this league at the level required.
This hopefully gets addressed in the summer. The far more pressing concern is a Gravenberch alternative. How many seasons is it now we've been looking for this elusive CDM? I've lost count.
Hughes desperately needs to do something to earn his wage. A much better than Endo option would be a start in January, and sorting the contracts of Salah and VVD. I fear Trent maybe a lost cause.

Are you suggesting that fans aren’t prone to regularly changing their opinions on players? We’ve all seen it done within one game FFS. Last week some were saying he’d had his best game for us against Madrid, this week he’s had his worst.

That’s not changing your opinion, it’s just commenting on his form. He’s been here two and a half years, of course he’s had some good games for us in that time period, doesn’t make him good enough overall.

I've always backed Nunez. Never changed my view in the time he's been with us and I'd be happy for him to keep plugging away at Liverpool, but at the same time, he's one of those where if the club were to decide to offload in favour of another preferred option then I wouldn't exactly be up in arms about it.
