One of the least known facts in the wire is that the reverand who advises Cutty was actually one I the biggest heroin dealers ever in Baltimore
They based Marlo on him

Zombies? I mean Zombies!
What tripe! Where is the nuance? The plot? Acting prowess? I sincerely hope Zombie/ Vampire 'dramas' doesn't represent the zeitgeist of our time.
try some of thee Nordic ones-the Killing, the Bridge, Borgen
absolute class
'My Name is My Name!!'...
Simply the best...
Watched this again this month and my mind was blown 10 times as much as during the 1st time. Was baffled at how much I missed the first time I watched! Nothing will ever come close to The Wire, nothing!

The West Wing.
For sure these are great shows you mention, but The Wire can never be bettered. It's the hardest show to pull off Imo, and sure their were a couple missteps but, that's cos of the standard it set itself.
Hampered by the writers strike in the end, but by then had solidified its status as one of the all-time greats.
I'm not one of these that will slate off another great show just to prove a point, it's just The Wire is for me, perfection in every way.
Right now, I'm all about Boyd v Raylan, in 'Justified'!!!
The wire is the best show of all time without any doubt at all.
Well said Stringer. You dont have to put dow. other great shows to elevate The Wire
The kids these days, of which this site has a massive number, demand answers and cling to favorites more so than any other generation.
Glory hunting is at a maximum and they even try and pit down messi or Rinaldo based on nothing.
