So the Sri Lanka spinner has been chucking? Why is it that whenever a mystery spinner plays in England or Australia his action gets questioned?
Kash come off it.. If you think the guys action is legitime then your being biased.. The reason senanayake action is allowed in sri-lanka is because hes winning games of cricket. and the opposition are scared of offending., same with ajmal and hafeez. both their quicker balls are chucks.. But hey they have been passed to play so its fine..
I don't know any English bowlers that bowl the mystery ball you know why? its because theres no way you can bowl it without some extension of the arm.
Without technology you can't actually prove it because with pictures any bowler can look like they are chucking. I've not seen him chuck but I was not looking at him chucking. Let's see if Sky can show some slow-mo with his chucking.
slow motion is harder to judge because all bowlers extend their arms to some extent.By the naked eye he looks like chucks.
I forget his name now he played for England and Sussex he was seam bowler. He chucked and was banned and 2 occasions playing for England and rightly so.
Its the doosra or mystery ball i have issues with. In the past bowlers were banned for doing it. now it seems 15 degrees is allowed. but the bowler could bowl 10 deliveries at 15 and 4 deliveries at 20+..
James Kirtley was the bowler i was thinking off. He did have a suspect action.
Yeah but Kirtley was just an below average bowler. Someone like Mike Yardy had a suspect action too.
Kirtley was a good domestic bowler.. yardy cant recall him having a poor action.. but can remember him sailing into the stands quite often..

With all due respect mate, just because an ènglishman can't bowl it, doesn't mean that it's illegal or impossible.. The English used to term reverse swing as "ball tampering" until a couple of Englishmen learnt the art.... Then they threw a party and went on about it in 2005 for months and months....
Ajjy rips into England- moan and whine
Murali before that
Now it's Senanayake
Give over!! Be gracious in defeat and victory
Anyway forget chucking for now. Would you put Buttler in the test team? With Prior injured the rumour is Foster will get a recall. A Foster recall has Cook written all over it.
yeah well I tend to take a non biased point of view. if I think a bowler chucks and looks questionable I say so.. Murali.. will always be question on his action..
be gracious in defeat when a bowler is cheating?.. may aswell not have any laws.
Indeed a cook choice,, well kash. buttler is a positive player. England need drones..if Buttler doesn't get picked its a shambles.
Its the same with hales in the game Cook missed. they went for Carberry.. so it protected bell and cooks position at the top.. If Alex Hales had have done well in that game. they couldn't have dropped him.
Any other side who had a Hales (who was number 1 T20 player in world) would automatically get in the one day side. His exclusion is just bizarre and unfair to Hales.
As for Buttler, he has proved he is ready. The most exciting English batsman. He has to be picked for tests. Why go back to a 35 year old
270+ is needed.. Sri-lanka will batter our bowling if Eng score less than that.
what is it with Joe Root? he didn't need to play that shot? why? is it so easy for him? does he feel like he will never be dropped?
Arghh so painful watching Cook. 56 from 83.
for 30 years England players play the sweep... the opposition play the spinners down the ground.. England always have to play the spinner square. for 30 odd years if not longer..are they incapable of learning??
I know, do the sweep is just suicidal. Particularly when the ball sticks in the pitch and it's so difficult to time.
I'm really starting to think that Cook should stick to tests. Yes 55 is decent but from 85 balls? Wasting too many. We're not good enough at finding the boundary in the middle 30 overs
Think Bopara deserved the benefit of the doubt. Wasn't conclusive.
With that scoring rate of 66, Cook adds undue burden on the middle-order batsmen.
when will eoin morgan score runs again? answers on the back of first class stamp.
haha bopara really missed the length of that.. the weathers closing in and you thinking keeping wickets in hand would help the duckworth and lewis. and you get ravi playing a shot like that.. the ball didnt fail to bounce like commentators suggested, Bopara just totally made an howler.
Ravi flops yet again... All down to butler again..
England totally suck at odi cricket..just don't have the quality players at that level. Balance and root don't look upto it..Bopara as never done it for England. theres places further up the batting order. But Bopara would never make it at 3 or 4..
