what annoys me is the facts the go for ballance at 3..trott was a good player record wise for England but scoring rate wasn't special. ballance looks even worse.. its the mental approach of keeping in the game. until the 35th over.. Morgan should bat 3. but no hes 5 and that's it. no changing.

Nobody likes to see that but it's completely within the laws of the game. Fact is he was already warned in the previous over and the bowler has a right to run him out. Having said that it is gamesmanship and a bit of a grey area in cricket - for me unless there is a genuine attempt to steal a run before the delivery is bowled only then should a run out like that stand. However if James Anderson or Stuart Broad had done it I'm certain there would have been a few heralding them as geniuses and saying tough luck. Cricket for you.

I'm glad its not just me who sees it that way. The Sri Lankans always claim to be the victims yet are usually the antagonists.

Me neither, cracking batsmen though. The simple answer is if we don't have an adequate frontline spinner, just don't pick one. Joe Roots donkey droppers are not good enough, ditto Moeen Ali or Samit Patel

Boss- stop being ridiculous mate... Yards doesn't matter. It's a simple concept. Keep your bat in the crease and you won't be given out....

Imo if the non striker is like 2-3 yards out of the crease then yes that's out Imo. But butler was barely out of the crease. Its only because that silly bowler has a weird action and just stopped for some reason when butler was probably 5 inches out of his crease. That's not on Imo.
