Who wouldn't be a gamble?
All appointments are gambles . The best managers were once a gamble. I personally don't care, as long as we play good football.
"However, if he thinks he can continue his stupid translator BS here at WHL he must be facking stupid."
He's smart.
As he only does it for (mainly) UK media conferences.
Do you think with Levy's reputation of hard sells and quick to fire the underachieving manager.. that some see it as a good payday bonus.. take the reigns for a year and get a huge payoff at the end with not much work in between!!!
one of the biggest clubs in the world? he has joined spurs mate, not bayern munich.
we are currently a second tier club, and have appointed a second tier manager from the looks of things.
faaacking fed up with idiot spurs fans all negative before the guy has even got his feet under the desk.
fack sake.
head coach of one of the biggest clubs in the world,
This is your problem, we ain't one of the biggest clubs in the world. It's fans like you who cause the problem, let the guy step a foot in the door ffs
We've won 2 league cups in twenty years, we're not the worlds best
Good god. Glass half full ginge
Honestly I do not believe this, The new manager has just been appointed, and the OP is already on suicide watch. No wonder the club never moves forward when we already have supporters who want the manager sacked.
It`s truly pathetic.

We're a top five team in the biggest league in the world
and
among the top 20 richest teams in the world.
You lot undervalue yourselves, unfortunately.
Lack of success has made the small club mentality pervasive... Sad really.
"and get a huge payoff at the end with not much work in between!!!"
Payoff : yes. Huge :
Apparently Spurs have had to pay nothing to acquire him either.

As far as English domestic/UEFA ratings goes, "best of the rest" is probably more diplomatic.

and the gap between us and the top clubs is faaacking huge.
who did you want us to appoint? carlo ancellotti? ffs
look how quickly LVG threw us in the trash as soon as the Man U job was up for grabs.
Chronic
To be fair, I think Spurs dodged a bullet with LVG,he may have a good CV, his best days as far as I can see were last century. He is hardly the way forward at aged 60+ in my opinion.
He's a young, ambitious manager who likes to play an attacking style of football. He is also a manager who clearly creates great loyalty from his player.
Good appointment in my opinion. Must be given time to implement his ideas though.

Again small club mentality. There are only 10 maybe 15 clubs that could outbid us for a manager in European football.
Are telling me there are only 10-15 experienced top quality manager is the world.
I truly hate when people come up with this "who do you want us to appoint" facking BS

Being clueless on these managers, perhaps you can give me a list of the managers Spurs should have been able to pry away from their current clubs ...
