Calzaghe beat a prime Kessler. Froch lost to a past prime Kessler.

Do the math.

I read an interview with Groves before this fight saying that he can tell when Froch is gonna unload a big right as his chest flexes. He does as well. Just a second before he flexes his muscles.

Groves obviously forgot that tonight

Also...WTF was Khan on about? "Groves is in control" mental...

Froch has done far more in his career than Cal.

Calzaghe was a clever boxer, those are the best boxers. Could argue picking his fights meant he was clever in and out the ring

Tbh i had groves ahead and thought he would do it. Agreed with amir khan and that's hard to say as he is a clown

Was Calzaghe ever knocked down?

Roy Jones and Bhop knocked him down first round.

Not has simple has that

Froch has improved massively since that first Kessler fight

Froch can face Ward 99 times.

He will lose 99 times. Ward is just too good.

too be honest while I had it close (I had Froch slightly ahead) looking at it I just felt Groves was going to get caught badly at some point, I didnt think he would get caught that bad, but he just didnt look anything like he was going to do enough to win it

Oh well, that's the last big fight we'll see for a while. Don't think the Fury/Chisora fight will be anything special.

Really? I couldn't see how Groves was ahead. Froch had him under control with that jab. A few wee flurries but not much else.

Only round I thought Groves looked good was when he got KO'd

Way I see it this is simple:

Calzaghe was the best in his division for years, then became the best at another division before retiring.

Froch has never been the best in his division, and has no wins over p4p level fighters. To me, Calzaghe is just better.
