“Fabregas has decided to stay one more year at Barcelona. Unless he has changed his mind. I don’t know. But that’s what I have been told. We have the clause in his contract so we would be on alert but at the moment that’s not something we are after.”
The other factor is Cesc has to agree - first and foremost the player has to agree terms and agree to the transfer. Everything else is secondary
Cesc was sold so cheap because of the buy back clause, sell on clause, add on fees and they gave us Toral and Bellerin on freebies. The clauses are there, they were made public only a few days after he left, even Wenger mentioned in one of his press conferences last Summer.
"Why would Barca then put him up for sale at 30m"
the minimum amount they'd accept.
I think there will be a bidding war to be honest and he'll go for low 40s to City or PSG
The Sun said a week ago we were going to bid for him and now we're not interested?

Clickbait! The Torygraph will have sold Cesc to City, Arsenal and Newcastle by Tuesday.

Cesc also said he would never want to play for one of the oil money clubs
I am amused by the desperation of other club fans to sign Fabregas who they have previously trashed as overrated. Who said Wenger does not want him back? Any quotes? Pure bs from the media to keep things interesting and sell more papers. There is a reason Wenger put that clause in the contract, he is not stupid. He knows the consequences of letting Cesc join a rival team, the backlash will be massive.
And Grand Cannon the fact that Cesc and Arsene have a father/son relationship and still talk on a regular basis.
Doesn't he still own the flat he bought his bird in London?
The Kaiser's Trainers
Barcelona "advertised" Cesc's availability at 30m as per his buyout clause with Arsenal.
There will only be a bidding war should Arsenal decide not to avail of the clause (they spent a lot of time and effort in implementing) in his contract.

He won that via a court case from his missus divorcing a London millionaire or something last year.

That won't be a problem for Arsenal. Cesc is currently on £100k, which Arsenal will easily match for a player of his calibre. And he is in regular touch with Wenger anyway, so such details are easily worked out. And why does anybody think Cesc wants to renege on Arsenal's first option? He has never said that. Even Man U fans have become so deluded that they think Cesc will opt for a midtable outfit.
Give it up there is only 1 destination and that is arsenal, no point discussing any other teams potentially buying him.
Did matt law ask arsene if he wanted him, no , just made assumption because we bought ozil last year.
His best mates from Arsenal in Flamini and Rosicky are still at Arsenal too.
