Australia or South Africa would smash this attack out the ground. None of these players in the side can do that consistently

Don't disagree. India are an embarrassment in that format. Same to england here
Its the intent that's the problem.. England have to bat a certain way and that's high elbow and through the cover field the proper English coaching manual way of playing..
If cook had have batted half way down the crease in the first over. Kumar would have either been forced to drop short of bowl to full. hes being allowed to bowl his length and line.
Its not 20\20, you'll rarely see an opening batsmen come down the track to, or be overly aggressive in the first 5-10
Oh dear another one gone
Is there any point in finishing this game?
Catching practice here.
Scoreboard Pressure..England just cannot handle it.
lefty oh yeah you do.. The likes of Finch and Watson. attack from ball one. Cook allowed a maiden to be bowled..

In all honesty - I felt like that through the test series.
England all out for 190. India 190-2 in 35

Agree, but they hit a bad ball, they wont be coming down the track or playing silly shots
Also to add, Englands opening Batsmen are not in that mould.
onlyoneabion,..it seems so easy and lax doesn't it? I mean they don't seem to really care?.
The paying public need better than this.. Cook first and foremost is not a 1 day player. dunno why hes in the team to begin with..
how long will his poor form be allowed to go on for. until someone says enough is enough.
But lefty that's the whole problem.. England still get out to poor shots. they may aswell show some more intenet and try and hit the ball. instead of getting out and scoring at 3 an over.
You have a point.
I found exactly the same in the tests. India were batting, and blocking...but on these wickets you have to go for he bad ball, not just leave it all the time.
In England - Wickets are going to fall...
Who do England have that could be an Aggressive opener?
You can have Sehwag if you want..I'll drive him to Lords
Ask the India bowlers, would they rather bowl at the likes of Cook and Root
Or Roy, lumb, Taylor, bopara etc. think it's pretty obvious
They just let the bowlers bowl
Luke wright is in the form of his life ATM. Would have to be a better option.
Or even Westley at essex
Pressure on Morgan. When was his last innings of note?
luke right is a poor player. he gets found out at internatonal level. the big heaveho always ends up with him skying the ball.
I think Taylor looks quite good.. but like Onions England wont go for him.
Wright was a poor player, but his stats in all forms of county cricket, and the big bash. Suggest he's come on leaps and bounds. And should be given a go
when was the last time morgan did anything? well let me think. wasn't this decade for sure.
he mentally lost it when he decided to go for the ipl money.
hes done nothing since. like a lot of footballers. you don't really need to do much to earn yer wage.
Nice little partnership to steady the ship here.
Root & Morgan playing a steady knock..and I'm guessing will start to accelerate if the get to 35 overs
You say that, but we spectacularly failed to do that in the last ODI.
You just can't score at 3.2 an over in one-day matches these days and expect to stand any chance of winning.
