Dembele needs to find his passing and shooting boots before he starts wandering into the final third.

Think Capoue might be favoured over Sandro. Less injury prone and when on form appeared to demonstrate greater passing ability. Hopefully we keep both.

Yeah.
If anything i see Dembele as that type of midfielder...even Holtby could do that job imo.

Also wasnt Wanyama the one that stayed back and Schneiderlin the one playing box-to-box.

I think this article was written way before the decline of Paulinho...when we all still had hope for him.

I'm glad Scolari has been playing him makes him easier to offload for a price Levy would accept.

Dembele wide left? That clown wouldn't get a start for my pub team. Chadli wide left for me, most improved player during the course of last season, quite quick, very strong and looks like he can finish a chance.

ANY Striker

Chadli(Lennon ?) Eriksen (Holtby) Lamela(Townsend)

.........Sandro(Capoue) Dembele(Bentaleb)

Are you implying Paulinho has been playing well enough at the world cup to earn a move from Spurs?

Pailinho needs to be playing in a team that moves the ball far quicker than we did last year or Brazil at this WC.

Was watching the last Brazil game and some of runs off the ball were perfect if he could have been found.

Problem is though, everytime he shows a glimmer of ability, he follows up by being bloody useless! Really want him to succeed as was excited by his signing after the confed cup, but has gone missing in so many games and offers nothing if not going forward

I fail to see what Paulinho offers the team, he has the legs, but no brain and end product

Agreed, mainly cause I can't see a position for him in the team that we don't have someone else better for.

Can't really see him being sold this year though as Levy isn't likely to bin off a £17m Brazil International after one year for a loss on investment.

So let's hope Poch has a system that can make a disappearing man reappear for some games

Unfortunately Paulinho is a luxury player. He floats behind a striker and latches unto to scraps.

We thought we were getting a box-box midfielder. We were wrong!

There is no room in the team for Eriksen and Paulinho. That free role behind the striker is Eriksen's in my view. This means Paulinho either gets sold or is his back up.

Paulinho needs two CM's around him. He is a modern day goal-hanger. Which is fine if you accept that is his role and play him accordingly. But he's not good enough to have that role in our team.
