incidently, Hamas actually won its majority rule over Gaza by using violence in 2006, that tells you all about Hamas.

Proof?

Proof??? You living under a rock or something? its no secret.

So Hamas was engaged in a fight with the then current establishment. It doesn't mean they forced, score mongered normal civilians to vote for them.

What would happen if Israel announced it would never fight again?
It would be destroyed by its neighbours within a week.
What would happen if the muslim world announced it would never fight again?
Peace.

No, it means they are run by a bunch of war mongers who have little care for human life, even their own.
Their first option is to fight, rather than do anything else, and whilst they do, this will never end.
Hamas is a terrorist organisation recognized by virtually the whole world.

That's nonsense. The Arab countries have more pressing matters than worry about Israel. Before Israel was created Jews and Muslims lived in peace in the Arab world. It can still happen.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHA i wondered when america would get the blame
Some people just don't get what is happenedand what is happening over their.
In 1947 when Israel was born, Jews made up 30% of the population and owned 5% of the land. The newly formed Government then forced Arabs off their land and out their homes taking it as their own.
That is why the other Arab countries invaded!
Huge numbers of refugees were created, the descendents of these people now number about 7m. About 6.5m people live in Gaza and the West Bank, with about 1.5 still in Israel (they are denied the right to own land).
The Jewish population of Israel is about 6m. Even after years of aggressive immigration they are still not remotely close to a majority In the region.
The creation of Israel was the greatest injustice of modern times. Until that injustice is realised then quite frankly their cannot be peace.
If Israel want peace all they need to do is agree to the 47 mandate, then offer billions in reperations to either allow those refugees to return home or start again in Palestine.
But the illegal settlements in Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem guarded by soildiers proves beyond doubt that Israel does not want peace. Their aims are very sinister in my opinion.
Hamas are a product of this conflict, they are not and never were the cause.
Cinci you are so ignorant it's quite unbelievable.

This is not true..
I just disgraced my toilet
If Hamas can prove that they're ready for peace then I'm sure the Israel would love to make peace.
You're not suggesting they'd rather kill Palestinians?
--------
There was an opportunity for peace when Arafat and Rabin agreed on a peace deal back in 1993. There was hope then, there was a freeze on settlement building and those putting up illegal settlements were given short thrift with those settlements removed - not all but some.
Yitzhak Rabin back in Israel split opinion, and the deep division was highlighted when Rabin was assassinated by an ultra-right wing Israeli terrorist.
After which the peace process unravelled leading to Netenyahu coming to power who then back tracked on the peace deal, settlement building on illegal land resumed, the "security barrier" went up cutting villages in half and usurping Palestinians from more of their land.
In fact the settlements are such so dotted that a split of the land simply will not be able to be agreed upon. You have to see it to believe it.
If that 1993 peace deal was still live we wouldn't be having this discussion now.

Absolutely true, if the 1993 peace deal was implemented, Hamas wouldn't have had the groundswell of support of disaffected people to propel them into power.
Honestly don't understand what is so hard to grasp for some.,
Israel has shown it is happy to co-exist, hence it signed the agreements in 47, the Arab world didn't accept and proceeded to attack immediately.
Israel defended itself against Egypt in 67, took the Sinai peninsula and then agreed to hand it back if Egypt called a truce, showing again it had no interest in conflict.
Hamas from the start has cried 'no surrender' and has dug tunnels to perform terrorist acts, and refuses to acknowledge israels existance and says it will never stop its activity.
Its quite clear who the protagonists are, Israel does retaliate, why shouldn't it?
Benayoun is a Disgrace
