Winston has it absolutely spot on - this thread has descended into an absolute car-crash of a conversation.

Anyone else rubbernecking here?

Seems to me that quite a few posters here have been riled up by Winston in the past and are now using this thread as an avenue in which to vent against him. I've had a few debates with him, and he can come across as a bit condescending at times, and can be quite dogmatic, but so what? Grow a thicker skin. And we can all come across that way at times anyway. Greatteams and Mamba being two very good examples of posters who have acted in exactly the same way.

Greatteams even admits it. Mamba - he's just so far up his own backside he hasn't realised it yet. Winston has also admitted it, yet here you all are, attempting to ridicule him, and all because he had the temerity to echo what Rafa said about Gerrard. I mean, that's where it all started right? If any of you are actually able to get past Winston's writing style (which he has freely admitted can be a little antagonistic (and I've seen him apologise for that on more than one occasion)), the guy does actually make some really good and valid points. Robbing seems to get that at least.

Anyway, continue as you were. Winston will be back tomorrow, giving as good as he gets. And good on him for fighting his corner I reckon.

Then ignore him/her! Meaning don't come on to threads to have a dig. Whether or not every single thread that Winston posts on turns into an argument or not, if you ignore him/her, it's not a problem for you.

Kudos to you for not filtering anyone though. These are nothing but words on a screen. Filtering, in my opinion, is just sad.
