I agree that there was no need for Gerrards comment(despite us being a much bigger club than Arsenal) but at the same time....... What an embarrasing article
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After finishing above Arsenal for the first time in 5 years and qualifying for the CL for the first time in 5 years Liverpool are now a much bigger club
Will these idiots ever shake their reputation as the most arrogant, delusional fans in the country? I doubt it. The 70s and 80s will always be there
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And even after all that we got closer to the title than you have in a decade.
Will arsenal fans ever shake their reputation as the most infantile and defensive/ overreacting fans in the country?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What kind of logic is that? You got close to the title, but didn't win it. We have been close to the title 2 or 3 times in the last 10 years, but haven't won it. But you got a bit closer than us so you're a bigger club?

Quote "5. Despite suffering almost half the amount of injuries that Arsenal suffered last season, Liverpool could only manage to finish five points ahead of the London club with Suarez in their side [Liverpool do like the number five]. With Suarez playing for Arsenal, the Gunners would surely have finished above them and could even have won the league."
--------
The journalistic integrity presented by this is mindblowing. not only is he making assumptions based on very little, he's also ignoring that we had massive injury problems too.
It's not liverpool's fault that Wenger signed an injured player and has a permanently injured player on the books.
BAsically what a load of biased tosh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not an assumption based on very little, it is perfectly reasonable prediction based on a substantial and relevant truth. You cannot seriously compare Liverpool's injuries last season to Arsenal's? Not to mention the difference in games played. Suppose it's Wenger's fault that he qualified for the CL and knocked you guys out the FA Cup?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can show me specific injury data proving that arsenal were at a huge disadvantage then go for it. Admittedly they had Ramsey and Walcott out for long stretches, but we also had stretches without any of our first choice back 5, Suarez, sturridge, coutinho, sturridge, allen and others
We also had a significantly weaker squad than arsenal (as we keep getting told and is probably true).
Please. Tell me how it's so obvious

Whether Gerrard should have said it or not is up for debate, but what he said isn't. Suarez is too good for Arsenal. He was too good for us too.
He's a blogger, I'm not sure what journalistic integrity has to do with anything.
Just don't read him, it's the equivalent of going on to an arsenal fan site.
Didn’t read the entire article but as Hurley is an Arsenal fan, (happens to be from Belfast) it’s fair to say it may not be that impartial.
The above aside the comments were a small part of a larger interview which have been amplified and given more credence than they deserve.

The article and the article it references are extremely childish. The reaction of arsenal fans to BT sport advertising their best games from last season (which happened to be liverpool and chelsea destroyign arsenal) were extremely immature.
The reaction of my arsenal supporting mates to the suarez bite over the summer was also hilarious. The anger they showed and bitterness that they didn't sign him made me chuckle no end.
All extrememly immature

Still though, beats making death threats to our club's biggest player for wanting to leave, effectively forcing him to stay.
And publicly celebrating and defending racism from your players as if that makes you good fans as opposed to terrible people.

Pretty sure the FA came to the conclusioon that he used racially inappropriate language. They categorically stated that he's not racist (he's part black ffs ). That doesn't mean he intentionally racially abused someone. We are allowed to believe it was a misunderstanding.
If someone doesnt believe that racism occurred, they are allowed to defend someone. Anyway let's not open this bag of worms again
Arsenal had Henry who was comfortably a superior player to Suarez. How then can Suarez be too good for Arsenal?

Who cares if he's part black or if he's not actually racist. He racially abused someone and your club and fans rallied around him as if he was the victim of persecution. I find it funny that your lot can believe a man who has grown up in a western-centric world, subject to the media and therefore cultural understanding of its past, who had been living in Europe for FIVE years will just happen to call a man that as an insult without understanding that the word is insulting. Right. It was tribalism which allowed your lot to defend his racism and nothing more.
Giröulski
Also to add that Suarez obtained full media training by LFC on his arrival.
Part of which would have included (as per the 'Kick it Out' initiative) instruction on discriminatory/intolerant language.

O'RLY?
I always love the "cultural differences" shtick. You know it wasn't that uncommon for people in the States to use that word in the 1800's either. I wonder why that was.
And how paranoid can you get? They were trying to frame us

----------------------------------------------------------------------
...nobody did that. Again making stuff up... immature and infantile.
As for the death threats, those are the action af a TINY minority, whereas the reactions i talked about seem to be the reaction of the majority. Also i don't know enogh about the deatht threats to even be sure they were liverpool fans. How many times have rival clubs's fans done things to tarnish others' reputations
