According to many of the articles linked in the OP, Balotelli is the saviour.
Even though Suarez missed the beginning of last season, you played with much more swagger than this season
-------
Sure?
Opening matches last season..
We won 1-0 v stoke, mignolet had to save a last minute penalty.
...and we only beat Man U 1-0 at home, not exactly a swagger is it?

2 matches, that you showed much more cohesion and confidence than the past two matches played in this season.
I just remembered that many were saying that you'd be fine without Suarez because you added depth, basically hoping that the team would carry last seasons form. Obviously, losing a WC player has affected your teams morale more than (many of) you guys anticipated
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps you misunderstood what we meant by 'fine'. I think a lot of rival fans think that we reckon we're serious title contenders again (yes there were one or two tongue in cheek comments in articles) but realistically most of us felt a serious top 4 challenge was where we'd be at and maybe a title challenge if we're still around the top by March or so.
United fans criticising general style of play ?
Look, you have just beaten QPR, possibly the worst team to grace the premier league in many a year, and suddenly feel compelled to start telling others they are not up to scratch.
Bottom line is, if Di Maria gets injured, you lot will be back to square one, even after spending an absolute fortune.
Liverpool will improve, and well all have a good laugh when reality bites for United when October comes, and you face a lot of decent teams, who will inevitably takes points from you.
Best to keep quiet till you string a couple of results together, rather than mouthing off off the back of a result against a p!$$ poor team like QPR.
So far, and I know it's very early days, it seems that you are certainly missing the "Suarez factor". Do you agree with this or perhaps teams now know what to expect with Liverpool and set up accordingly?
=====
Teams are wise to the style now?
The importance of Stirling is clear, lots of the best thing go through him and reliant on pace - Rodgers blitzkrieg methods

OK, maybe I did misunderstand. But I took it to mean that you would have a similar season to last year, as many of the comments in the article backup
Even with Suarez we would have found it hard to juggle Prem and CL. Last season was a one off playing one game a week.
The main target this season is to ensure we get a 2nd season in the CL and if that by finishing 4th, winning Europa League if CL goes bad then so be it.

I didn't want this to turn into a Utd v Liverpool article - yes we are poor and that is not changed at all by beating QPR. Many of our fans would be over the moon to get Top 4, we expect less so there is no optimism to be diminished. Any improvement on 7th this season and I'll be happy

Yes. As Spurs have shown (and many Liverpool fans refuted), spending huge sums of money, losing players and adding new takes time to settle.

So you're forgetting all about beating Spurs 3-0 away.
All about picking and choosing aren't you?
And no, beginning of last season we didn't play in the way you suggested.
Were it not for a last minute penalty save v Stoke or van Persie missing a sitter at Anfield, we would have had 2 draws.
