He says he did research but its so obvious he bookmarked but turns out it wasn't the showstopper he was hoping for. A lot of what the OP states on this thread lacks coherent research or thought.
Am sorry Liverpool have been ok so far this season. In comparision to last season even when you lost games you played much better football and that was mainly due to Suarez. Now he is gone you are grinding out results.
Spurs aside(who tend to bend over to any pass and move sides - last season anyone???) you have grounded out results. Southampton more than matched you in the 1st game and against Villa(nuff said) and offcourse you struggled yesterday against the minnows in your group. Not a anti-liverpool thing just an observation so far. I think you have bought well and perhaps the performances will improve but so far not a patch on last season am afraid.
I'm surprised at how many people have watched all four of our games to be honest.

OP to answer your question. The majority of LFC fans said that any cub would not be as good without Suarez. He was the best player in the world by a mile last season. Any club would be effected. What we did say is we should be ok as BR is a great coach and that we still have a lot of quality.
Just because we didn't bend over and pay stupid money for players like a certain club does not mean our new aquisitions will fail

If only we could play all three promoted teams and the lowest finishing current premiership team from last season in our first five games.
Rodgers has got it painfully wrong in the last two league games.
Playing 4-3-3 when we needed the diamond with 2 strikers and today playing the diamond but changing the centre half partnership, putting in Lucas and starting with Borini.
FFS Brendan just sort it out man!
He had it lost when he put Borini on the team sheet.
To be honest, I wondered why Borini when Lambert hasn't started a game yet.
Dunno if Rodgers thinks the Italians could strike up a partnership...
