You can let me know how you enjoyed it mate, like I said the food is excellent, we went with my family not long ago and everyone got something difference and not one complaint about anything.

I'm sure my old man got a spicy cod dish, said it was the nicest thing he's ever had

If its not a steak your after then you cant beat pigging out on Tapas - La Tasca is probably the best one in glasgow imo -
A beer and a red wine ( each)
Oil n Bread
Olives
Cured meats sharing platter
patatas bravas
some Gambas Pil Pil
and various other meat dishes

quality

See whenever I'm in a restaurant, I always have to order a side of fries or the closest thing to fries if they don't do a side of fries.

Hate bagging myself up with food so I tend to avoid stodge like tatties, rice, breads etc and focus on meat, fish and veg. A curry, nan and rice on a night out and I’m ready for a couple of hours stretched out on the couch!

I prefer mashed potatoes to be honest, quite like Wedges although they need to have a spice to them.

Asda do the greatest firecracker wedges, really spicy, picking a bag up tonight as I'm making Fajitas for dinner, both chicken and beef

I know the feeling, I got a takeaway from balbirs on Friday night and half way through my Chicken Xacuti, pilau rice, peshwari nan and popadoms I was ready to explode on my couch

Have you tried the stretch of hotels in the finnieston part of sachiehall street?

There is everything from the fairly posh but not over priced Lorne hotel to all the wee guest houses like the sandyford etc. Also only 10 mins walk to hydro from there.

If you do stay in that neck of the woods I would recommend the ox and finch to eat at i went there recently and it was amazing. There is loads to choose from in that area though you have the best Indians, Korean and also the crabshakk and old saltys (posh chippy) firebird has also been around for ages and is totally underrated.

Also the stretch of Argyle street in finnieston is probably the best are in Glasgow for a night out.

Lebowskis and brass monkey is a good place to start but places like the Ben Nevis park bar and newly refurbished kelvingrove cafe are worth a visit.

NNH I wouldn't really go for food anymore.

Their menu used to be great but it's now just burgers (which are admittedly very good) they have focused their food efforts to the finnieston up the road.

Lebowskis is more of a night out type of place now.

SPR, thanks, I don't mind a good burger but if it's just that then not really something I'm dying to tick off the list.

Make sure you attend the Thai place mate, I've yet to experience anything better

Got a night out 1st week in November, kinda couples/family night, starting off in Sapporo (can't wait for that) then heading to the new bar in Merchant City, can't remember the name of it, it's black and gold and meant to be pretty decent, anyone been?
