“not all of them had the advantage of hamiltons merc” - if that comment had been made by someone that demonstrated an actual knowledge of F1 then I would have been extremely surprised. However it wasn't so I’m not.
Hamilton's merc was actually overtaking another merc (if you care to look closely) also, I think I explained the overtake sufficiently clear enough to point out that Hamilton did not use his speed advantage to complete the move. The DRS closes when you hit the brake and Hamilton was keeping position next to Rosberg and matching his speed not going faster than him. The DRS was used to close up but that is not the brilliance of the move. I have already adequately pointed that out to those members with sufficient knowledge of F1 and therrefore see no more need to discuss the overtake further.
Que you know who posting a reply repeating his previous nonsense.
Which is why I called the statement rubbish as it was bereft of logic or common sense
Erhum.... what did we agree on another thread? <OK> +?

maybe i am missing something but on one of the widest straits in F1 with the massive speed advantage of DRS hamilton got alongside rosberg and passed him on the inside in a very simple textbook maneuver that would have been easy for just about any F1 driver to accomplish with the speed advantage of DRS -
------------- what exactly was so great about the pass when the back strait was just about the widest in F1 and hamilton had the massive advantage of DRS --
i dont mind giving any driver praise when they perform a complicated well thought out move , but this was purely text book stuff which would have been very easy for any driver with DRS advantage to negotiate --
