Minimum 5 point lead required after

Biggish, city needed to overtake us over the Christmas period. Everyone acts like we have bottled our lead but we lost our 8 point lead because we had much tougher fixtures than City.

We currently have a 2 point lead and MUCH easier fixtures than Man City (don't make me do the remaining big games left again). We aren't a shoe-in for the title, but we should win it provided we are at least level with City on February 1st.

City have done enough to make it a contest, fair play to them. But I will be shocked if they finish above us.

Biggish , stop being maudlin ! remember, if they don't win it we will !

LVG has the same points as Moyesh!

Biggish - I'd say let's take a game at a time..
City game is in couple of weeks time, few important games sandwiched in between and a lot can happen until then, let's hope we everyone fit for that game

I honestly don't see us winning the title over them Biggish - we simply can't compete with their firepower.

I dread to think what will happen to our challenge if we lose Costa or Hazard for an extended period, whereas they can afford the luxury of losing the likes of Aguero or Silva and carry on without any apparent loss of effectiveness!

Any yes I know they did lose a two goal lead to Burnley!

Chelsea's home fixtures should be telling but I think they will go further in the CL. Mourinho hasn't rotated too much and they're in the semi's of the league cup to boot.

It's tough to call but advantage Chelsea. This week.

I think Bony is a good signing and is a better goalscorer then Jovetic. It's improved them.

Unfortunately Brummie I feel the same way as you. I know there away games are on paper harder than ours, but in truth they are probably better away from home because they are so much more clinical on the counter than we are.

That is why I feel we have to beat them, a draw will not be good enough.

Def improved them and brings them back to the same level if not better than they were last season.

Even if we beat them Biggish I don't think it will stop them.

They seem to turn teams over away from home with ease whereas we struggle to break teams down!

yes, our away form hasn't been great, so let's change that starting with Swansea

This.

We were too reliant on Hazard for goals last season and to an extent nothing has changed with the obvious exception of having Costa.

City don't seem reliant on any one player for their goals, someone always seems to step up to the mark.

I just don't think we have enough natural goalscorers in the side or squad when compared to City.

Hazard and Costa don't really get injured though and move Fabregas forward as a 10 and Remy can do a job.

The paradox is although City have other goalscorers if they were to get injured at the back or to Toure (the win percentages are nuts with and without Toure) then they are in trouble.

It's going to be good!

Man City will miss Toure on Sun

A player can get injured at any time.......so far so good, but remember Costa broke down towards the end of last season with repetitive hamstring injuries

They didn't miss Aguero and he was looking like the best player in the world up until he got injured.

City just have too much firepower I fear.

A situation made worse by our inability to properly bed Remy into the side who in my opinion will score lots of goals for us if we use him properly.

They will miss his goals, but actually I think Fernando and Fernandinho may be more solid defensively when playing together.

I'm positive about it Don, I've already seen us win the title 3 times more than I ever thought I would, so I'll die a happy man whatever.

As it is I happy to see the squad evolve season by season but I just don't feel this season will be ours!

I'd be more optimistic if we were using Remy more effectively.

I actually think he can be a big help in our title challenge if we use him right.

City are only going to be even better now they have Aguero back and Bony just signed.

We'll need to step up a notch as well.

yes, we had dip in form recently, but that just happens to any team, let's beat Swansea and make sure we remain at least two points ahead against City.
I think Arsenal may snick a draw at Ethihad
