My wife is employed by the NHS and whilst there may have been some issues under Labour, what is currently happening under this government is beyond anything she has ever experienced.
Just out of interest, could you expand on your comment please? What in particular is "beyond anything she has ever experienced"?
Has she raised these issues? Have they been highlighted in the papers?

Fair enough......................................As I said the NHS should never be about targets but about quality of care & standards.
The other point I have to make & I know some do not want to discuss it, is the increase in immigration which has put a massive strain on resources within the Public Sector as a whole & the NHS in particular.
Also if we could stop "tourist" visits to hospitals, wwe could save a lot of money. There are recorded incidents of pregnant women booking holidays in the UK, to coincide with the arrival dates of their babies in order to have them in a British hospital, and then go home without paying anything in to the system.
Other countries do not allow it, neither should we.
Hope the stress on your other half alleviates sometime soon, I know how hard front line workers within the NHS work!

News released to day say the the UK that our standard of living has risen to fourth highrest in the Eu, behind Germany, Austria & Luxembourg.
We are apparently well ahead of The Netherlands, France, Italy & Spain too.
Poor Ed Miliband, the standard of living was his only Ace & it looks like that card has now been trumped!

Yeah, I think he'll be able to find plenty more.aces with the government in power. If Labour had a stronger, more likeable leader, they would absolutely walk the election. It's a disaster that the conservatives will retain.
GTW4..............................................He cannot attack on the economy, because it has become stronger.
He cannot attack on jobs because unemployment is at it lowest for years.
He cannot attack on welfare, because that is being greatly changed for the better.
He really cannot attack on the NHS, because they had nearly 13 years to sort it out & failed!
His only weapon was the standard of living & now that has gone out the window.
Labour have no real policies & seem to be like a sinking ship, just drifting & awaiting the inevitable.
I agree with you re Miliband, if they had a Leader who had an ounce of charisma then they could well have been heading for power.
My only hope is that whoever gets in does not get into bed with Chancer Clegg!

I'm more concerned about a potential Labour-SNP coalition, Lib Dems are a spent force none more so than calamity Clegg
