165 stars to you sir!!
I flew from San Antonio to Chicago once and my bag was very slightly overweight and they charged me for it.
Some massive Texan bloke was checking in next to me (bearing in mind I'm pretty short and thin) he probably weight twice what I did - yet I'm the one being charged for weight?!?!
Ridiculous.
Should be a combined weigh in - you and your bag both on the scales
This article is very fatist.

For some reason companies are afraid of offending these people.
I remember a few years back when Marks & Spencers backed out of a plan to charge differing amounts for different sizes of ladies underwear, a 44GG bra has to use twice the material of a 44C, make the saggy breasted pay more for their huge udders.
What a rubbish idea. Most of the Asians appear to be small and imagine if airlines start considering to chop your legs or fold them to even out.

Regarding the baggage, baggage is handled by humans. If your bag is bigger then it's more work for them hence you need to pay more.
