Scholes spoke very highly about arsenal when they us last week. Hopefully lvg learnt his lesson from that.

We need to nullify the game and keep the Kop quiet, if we can do that for large spells then Liverpool will get frustrated and we can possibly take advantage but we will probably need to be clinical.

It's going to be very tough dealing with Liverpool's high energy pressing game, it's why I think maybe Mata is better suited than di Maria as we can't really match them at their game, we need to keep possession. Maybe later on when the game is stretched and players are tired we can bring on players like di Maria, Januzaj or Wilson.

We were best team in first half by far. Had them on the ropes for 15 mins after we equalised.

Fair play to them, they were much better than us in 2nd half. Van Gaal taking Herrera off didn't help.

What I found strange last night was Liverpool's insistence on passing the ball out from the back, every time, even when a hoof would have been a far better option.

Pressing Migniolet and their defence could give us a chance.

Quite a few of us on here did not agree with your over the top assessment of Spurs midfield. So we knew Spurs were nowhere near as good as you thought they were.

I, for one certainly expected us to beat Spurs. We would have done the same at the Lane had our strikers been any use.
