I was just talking to a couple of Liverpool fans on Facebook, who seem very confident.
I think our players will be in the mood to get revenge after the 3-0 defeat to you guys. Our high intense pressing is perfect for these kind of big ties. Look out our performances against City, Spurs and Chelsea as evidence
I'm not that confident and the game could swing, quickly, on the balance of a goal or sending off.
I mean we could get a few, as we're capable and Utd's away form is not great, but our home form is not great. Utd have shown in the previous games that if chances are at a premium then they can take them with quality. I was very impressed with Utd against Spurs I must say.
I'm hoping not playing at Anfield for two weeks means that we can get the pitch a bit better.
I can defo see a sending off in this game though and I believe Jones and Smalling can be got at.
Overall though if both teams play to their best it will probably be a draw. Head says draw, form says draw heart says narrow win and LFC to get a penalty.
Utd are playing cràp, but still winning. We played cràp last night, yet still won. It has 0-0 all over it.
However, if there is a winnner, that team will most likely get one of the top 4 places. I honestly think Spurs are out of it, and unless City continue to drop points (unlikely), it will be Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Utd/Liverpool
I'm hoping for a win, but I'm not sure that with all the long balls flying at Fellani, Mingolet etc. will be able to deal with it.
As much as we are all laughing at the long ball tactics, it is the way to get at our defense, so I expect it to continue at the weekend (and quite rightly from a tactical point of view).
I think for confidence whoever wins this game will probably finish top 4.
If we beat Utd our confidence will be high and we will attack Arsenal next week. If we lose we will sit back like we did in the first half last night and we are poor at defending deep.
I am going for Liverpool 2-1

That is the very last score I would bet on. Clean sheets away from home are not something we are very good at.

Its not like we launch it from back to front at every opportunity. Its been massively overplayed by the media and opposition fans looking to get a dig in.
Last night I saw one of your few 1st half chances come from Sterling pumping a ball in the general direction of Sturridge, the ball breaking to Lallana who ran on and got a shot away. (exactly the same tactic got Lallana a goal at home to Spurs).

Been a fair few 0-0's at Anfield this season though. The pitch is mince!
Hoody
I am not a betting man myself, but I would bet my house that this one doesn't end up 0-0.
hmmm, you terraced or detached?
with the state of the Anfield pitch, direct might trump tippy-tappy
Me either to be fair!
To be honest I have no idea what will happen but I do think the first goal in this will be pivotal. I know it always is really but I think if we score early it could effect the Utd players. Similarly if we can get a couple of your lads at the back on a yellow early it could have an effect. I have a hunch based on nothing that someone will walk.
It's a massive game, probably the biggest between the two in many a year in nsome ways, and I think however wins will stay above the other.

Not exactly in the style of Wimbledon circa 1987, but still expect a fair few balls in from wide.
Think well dominate possession, so hopefully it wont be too much of an issue.
Funny how everybody is so confident Arsenal will finish top 4, what with the FA Cup games, potentially more CL games and then games vs us and Liverpool.
I think it's very unlikely that we'll dominate possession but there is a very good chance that we'll do more with the ball when we have it.
Liverpool 0-1 Man utd Rooney 93rd minute winner. Optmistic prediction Liverpool 0-3 Man utd.
You think you will stop us scoring hafi. As a stats man, a very flawed one, how did you come to that conclusion in both predictions?

Its because we are strong defensively.
Busby
They'll be out of the CL by tonight and the only FA cup game they play before the league finishes is against Reading who are 17th in the Championship.
Other than that they have arguably the easiest run in of games in the league left and have a knack of finishing top 4. They're also playing not too badly at the moment.

Would snap your hand off for a draw

Yeah me too as long we beat Villa next Game
Last game we had less possession then an opponent was Southampton away.
If there is one certainty it's that arsenal will finish in the top 4. They turned up in second gear and easily put 3 past West ham the other day. Plus they have probably one of the in form players in the league in Ozil. The guy has really stepped up this season. Been hitting the gym.
