This is where you are failing Mamba.
If I spat at you I would hit you. If I spat in your direction, I might not.
****
Not really. So in order to spit at me the spit must hit me? That's a new one. So, is it possible to spit at someone and deliberately not hit them? Answer me this.

Kaisers

Bit hard to miss, from three feet.

Although going by these two I probably couldn't trust them to sit on the toilet and face the right way.

Doesn't matter if you hit me or not, you still would've spat at me .

So if I am 200 metres from you and I spit in your direction, am I spitting at you?

Elvis and his intelligence have been struggling with this question for 3 weeks now;

"Yes he did spit towards the player - no-one is saying that he didn't. But did he spit AT the player? That is the salient question."

The answer Elvis is yes, yes in spitting towards the player he did spit at him.

Doesn't matter if you hit me or not

...........

Good grief, this isn't an act is it?

Let me try again.

If I spat at you, I would hit you because that would be what I wanted to do.

If I spat in your direction, I might not hit you. That might also be because that is what I wanted to do.

Any bells ringing in your head yet? Are those two brain cells rubbing against each other, or are they still in that struggle to keep your eyelids open?

Was Evans 200m away from Cisse, or was he pretty much standing over him?

200m away, of course not.

Standing over someone, yes of course he spat at him.

You still would have spat at me regardless of whether you intended on hitting me or not.

"Spit at someone - To force saliva from your mouth in the direction of someone"

Where does it say you have to hit them to have spat on them.

Seriously lads it's not difficult.

I disagree. If he was spitting at the player from that distance then I am pretty sure that he would have hit him. I think that he was spitting at the floor.

I'd imagine you'd have to be close to the person in order to spit at them. Definitely as close as Evans was to Cisse.

If he wanted to spit at the floor why not turn his head, plenty of floor to aim at away from Cisse.

Thought you were of the opinion he intended on spitting at Cisse's feet?

Also, Cisse was getting up in a rather aggressive fashion wasn't he?

Of course he spat at Cisse, he spat in his direction. That is the meaning of spitting at someone, aiming spittle in their direction, doesn't matter that he didn't hit him.

We've been through this already. For supposedly intelligent people how can you struggle with this?

Which is perfectly clear when you watch it.

But, as he spat in the direction of Cisse, which he quite clearly did, he got what he deserved.

Not if I was spitting at someone[s] [feet] as a show of respect.

Focus on that sentence ignoring the bracketed bits?
