As for the Tv series, would probably be Geoffrey. So effective in his role, I fantasized about squeezing the life out him.

Baelish and Varis are pretty tidy in their scheming as well. And then the Hound was quite outstanding.

I found Lord of the Rings quite hard work to read to be honest. The first almost quarter of the Fellowship takes place in the Shire & it just feels like too much! Don't get me wrong, it's something anyone who likes fantasy should read at some point, but it's one of the rare cases where I think the film was done better than the books.

Varys and Little Finger are good players of the game, but Varys is better - the guy knows everything. Little Finger is going down soon. He was good until he got close to Sansa and he also hires a spy that works for a rival. I think that was cut out from the TV show.

Also extremely disappointed they cut Arianne Martell from the show, and the Sand snakes casting is pretty average

I made a conscious decision after s3 to not 'get attached' to any characters and have started to forcibly stop liking characters.

As I've said before, the red wedding has been the only time I've been sat staring with mouth open in shock because I just didn't expect what happened! (I hadn't read the books by then!)
