I watched The Conjuring, Insidious and Insidious 2 within the space of around 4 months and I couldn't really find much difference between all 3.
James Wan obviously ran out of ideas.
I know all genres use similar scenes in their films but when it comes to ghost horrors it just goes overboard.
I also watched Ouija in the cinema which was pretty similar to all other ghost films.
To be fair, I watched Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and it wasn't bad, it got awful ratings though and it was possibly my favourite of the lot.
TCP everyone knows your formula.
Greg - being similar doesnt have anything to do with quality. Horror is a genre so of course there will be similarities when comparing films within that genre. Insidious was a fun popcorn film when compared to The Conjuring. They really shouldnt be compared.
My GF and I searched for a decent horror movie for quite a while having seen some shitt ones.
I can recommend...
The quiet ones
The Borderlands
Both British and both full of more scares than your usual horrors.
I thought Banshee Chapter was good
I have a soft spot for the Lovecraft inspired films though
Have any of you seen the aussie film The Loved Ones?

Yeah, being Australian i had to! It's quite good. Not really scary but quite tense. The song from it is insanely catchy.
The Loved Ones was a unique film. I liked it.
Ha! Yeah i enjoyed it a lot. Creepy as feck.
