You do wonder where [insert club] would be were it not for [insert one of club's best players].

Completely agree - he is your player. Just rarer to have a youth product burst through the ranks scoring 30!

You have to remember we're the only club in the league to have two midfield players score 10 or more. It's not like we've relied totally on Kane.

Yep. He has hit a fair few winners though. Be interesting to see if he can keep it up next season. I hope so for England's sake.

Why oh Why do we do this???????

We need to give Poch the time to get his wn team together, we complain that managers don't get enough time & then start talking about getting rid of one after one season! Total stupidity in my book!

Something going on behind the scenes. Has absolutely nothing to do with player's abilities, etc. If you're mind is not on the game whether you are Messi or whoever. This is why we get underdogs who win games against "big teams" in the FA Cup.

Look beyond the manager. Look at the board.

Yes. Then again that is for only about half a season, and done without the number of European games other managers have had to face. Over all matches it's AVB.
.............
Funny that I remember Sherwood trolling Jorge Jesus and making him run scared near the end of the match away to Benfica.

DDG probably saved the fewest shots in the league this season

Not much of a trolling attempt if you go out to them.

I know, let's sack one manager per season

I am rapidly starting to question Poch, but I will reserve judgement until next season, hopefully he will be given the players he wants and only then can we assess him .

If Levy continues his miserly attitude to transfers and gives Poch second rate players, then we can expect more of the same and another managerial departure.

One fairly successful season with Southampton does not qualify a coach to manage Spurs. I will post it again, WE NEED A TOP NAME. Both Klopp and FdB are available, let's get one of them.

klopp NO CHANCE.

what makes you say FDB is gonna be a hit...its all a gamble......!!!!

posted on 10/5/15

Negative junction8 aren't you? Isn't every signing a gamble? What tells me FdB is his record in the Dutch league. Yes, he didn't win it this year but Ferguson didn't win the PL every year he was with Man U either did he?

posted on 10/5/15

Also, MoPo's record better than FdB's?

posted on 10/5/15

for the record....I din't want mopo.

but isn't FDB currently at a club that SHLD be right up there in hios respective league....

also I'm negative......you wanna get shot of a guy after 1 season......

fack me...if...using your examples above... if utd had done that to fergie......!!!!!

posted on 10/5/15

MoPo isn't Ferguson is he? Ferguson broke the mould up in Scotland with Aberdeen by killing the stranglehold that Celtic and Rangers had up there. That was a huge achievement in itself. What are MP's qualifications to manage us?

posted on 10/5/15

Also, look where Man U were before Ferguson, second bottom and struggling with coach after coach. Ferguson went there and was hugely successful and who succeeded him? An average name called Moyes and look what happened. Now they have a top name there and here they are in the Top 4. WE NEED A TOP NAME.

posted on 10/5/15

did I say he was.....I'm merely pointing out that fergie at utd wasn't an instant hit.....

Ferguson had his share of problems at Aberdeen, in fact it took him nearly 4 years to get the full support of the players there, and he was 90 minutes away from the sack before he got United to Wembley & they beat Palace in 1990.

posted on 10/5/15

You're right he wasn't but the pressures on the coaches in those days weren't as intense as they are these days. Ferguson had better qualifications to manage Man u then MoPo has to manage us.

posted on 10/5/15

All managers have their share of problems at their clubs Genius. Wenger? Yes. Is Pellegrini safe? No.

so your saying top name makes certain success are you....!?

posted on 10/5/15

Harry gave us instant improvement. George Graham gave us instant success. With the right name here IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN.

I said on the old BBC 606 that great players rarely make great managers. Glenn was a great player but NOT a good manager, same as Ossie.
