Probably going to give Gladiator 2 a miss until it’s streaming free somewhere. Looks like a green screen fest.

Gladiator 2 tonight

Expect it'll be the same movie but not quite as good but still serviceable enough for a cinema trip.

Was just watching a bit of something on the IMDB website about it

I'm sure it'll be excellent...love the Connie Neilsen is still in it plus Densel obvs is a bonus

Not mad for the film title...bit of a cop out they should have done like a Top Gun Maverick name

I'd give it 6.5/10, nowhere near the original but enjoyable enough. The best 'unnecessary' sequel is still Top Gun Maverick by a distance.

Define "unnecessary"...?

1) the film itself was brilliant
2) It showed how maverick he still was by only limited promotion
3) It closed off from the original with Iceman
4) The Who soundtrack - genius
5) Excellent performances from Teller Powell Connelly Hamm to name 4
