Gemma Arterton...cute as a button
Gets a bad press Quantum...nfairly in my opinion, some great scenes in that
The opening car chase (one hour after Casino Royale) is decent, as is the fight scene in Sienna
The Opera scene is also decent..."tosca isn't for everyone it seems"
and the plane chase with the Marchetti is good too
also the shortest Bond of all...1 hour 45...which some would say...just as well
This week I'd be watching The Falling (2014),My Life as a Courgette/Zucchini (2016) and Akira Kurosawa's classic,staring the great Toshiro Mifune,Rashomon (1950)
Or I could just keep binge-watching Rick and Morty.

Rashomon

I've watched most of Kurosawa's work yet this, argaubly the most popular after 7 samurai, has seemed to have taken a backseat.
And Mifune is just a great screen presence.

Same. I prefer the more adventurous samurai films. Sanjuro, Yojimbo, Seven Samurai...
Sanjro and Yojimbo are great.
There's great wit in Kurasawa's samurai films, which tends to get less recognition.
Agreed. Most of the time it's akin to an RPG game where the characters try their best to solve a problem without resorting to violence. Lots of sharp wit and philosophy scattered throughout and when that doesn't work they use the sword.
Yep.
Even in Kurasawa's later work RAN ,a loose King Lear adaption, there's moments of humour, especially in one of its more famous shots where Ichimonji is stumbling out of a castle in bewilderment as its being engulfed in flames.

So Daniel Craig back as Bond

First season of Ozark very good
Craig is a great Bond but after the mess that was Spectre I'm not particularly bothered about the next Bond movie. Won't be bothering myself.
The Bond producers have messed up Craig's Bond movies. His story arc is all over the shop. They could have built on the brilliant Casino Royale but instead we got two poor movies and one decent one after that.
