No desire to watch it. The trailer and now your and others reviews made sure I wont.

I still might check it out at the cinema. Been saying that I would for months. Not sure how the masks thing will work in the cinema as I like chomping on popcorn.
Ok npe given your experience with cinema I'm taking 'the plot is difficult to understand' reviews more seriously

Finally finished the last series of Dexter after I started watching the first season well over ten years ago lol.
What a mess though, good writing and logic seemed to go out the window. Has to go down with Lost and Game of Thrones as one of the worst endings to a tv series.
A shame really as for the most part it was a really entertaining show until that last season.

* Dexter spoilers ahead *
Yeah I think it may well have been. Some really curious writing decisions. Killing off Deb in the last episode was pretty desperate stuff and then Dexter ending up as a lumberjack was bizarre. That scene looked like it was from a completely different show. Could have been a trailer for Michael C Hall's next tv show after Dexter.
And then Misuko's daughter coming into it in the last season. Why ? The storyline didn't go anywhere.
Agree with that. Shocking finale to a generally excellent series.
Best finales?
My usual shout is Blackadder. Quality didnt dip and they did something very memorable in breaking the comedy
Quite fond of the Wire finale even if the last season probably is the most outlandish (at least with the police side of things) - I dont want to spoil it but it contains one of the most satisfying scenes in the whole show

I think when you end up with tears in your eyes when watching a final Blackadder episode you know they did it right.

Since Tenet was brought up on the previous thread, Hawk made a good point about the sound. Through a quarter of the film I had no idea what the characters were saying. Especially the scene at the very beginning inside the theatre when they had their masks on.
I wonder what critics made of it, because it confused the hell out of me. I get the comparisons a bit with Inception, it's pretty much the same style of cinematography but at least I knew what the hell was going on in that film.
Sorry my talk reckless radar just went off... just getting twitchy there for a second.. calm calm.

Fack me, that was an intense six hours last time, seemed to offend every Centrist Dad on here who saw it as a masterpiece.

Blackadder's finale is a classic.
I think an excellent finale really is the exception to the rule, most shows disappoint or go stale towards the end.

Oh no, Nolan hasn’t doesn’t have sound issues again does he? Man, still want to see Tenet, but totally agree, with him and sound in his films.
Very odd, if you know you are gonna make those choices, why still do it...
I really enjoyed Sharp Objects... Liked the ending too.
