To be frank it's not just the plot I just don't care for either. Some of the lines of dialogue was just damn right cheesy or stupid. Even some of the action scenes were poorly executed, particularly the final set piece which was ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I enjoyed its execution more than you. I also didnt find the dialogue as bad as you but I might have missed about forty percent of it due to the mix, which I commented on earlier btw. Nolan has won four sound oscars, which are voted im by sound experts in the industry who are working in movies today. His mixes are a choice.
Basically, I found it empty on first viewing but I think he executed more impressively than you did. Seeing it again in Wednesday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlike his other work I have no desire to see it again
In terms of the sound mixing, none of his previous films have been that bad. Inception I would argue to be a good demonstration in that department, and I'm sure if I had seen Dunkirk I would be saying the same.
It should be noted though that sound mixing covers a broad area. The dialogue intelligibility is just part of it, with this film I think it was objectively subpar. Choosing for dialogue to be unintelligible is not a good artistic decision really.

Parasite, The Farewell, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Ad Astra, The Lighthouse, Uncut Gems, Little Women, Pain and Glory, Honey Boy were all better than 1917 last year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure about once upon a time in Holywood. I will watch it again, but first time round I was disdapointed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Loved it all 3 times
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I have seen it front to back four times, so do I win?

Watching inbetweeners on 4 od, forgot how hilarious this is. So low brow, but so good.
Also, Safety Not Guaranteed is a fantastic film. Finally rewatched it after about 7 years.

Love that film. Mainly cause I fancy Aubrey Plaza, but still it's very enjoyable.

Absolutely brilliant. My favourite ep is where they skive off school and end up calling Neil's dad a paedo

just watched that one. On the caravan club one, eating their food in a caravan whilst jay’s dad making horrible bowel noises from the toilet. ‘My eyes are burning’
Every episode is superb..

adagio for strings playing like he was elioa in platoon. Preferred the first movie, but they never quite hit the heights of the series, but were still very funny.

I think Jay’s father is one of the biggest diiickhead characters I’ve seen on British television over the last 10 years.
Good. Finally banned from that shlt rate an film article.
Uncle Peckerhead - very bad but also kinda fun. But also mostly bad. So...yeah.
Just watched Dark Waters, Mark Ruffalo.
