City need to do a bit more to say they have improved.
We need a new medical team if anything.
A fit squad is equally as important as bringing in these so called "superstar" signings.

There is no indication he is going to go. We are not hearing anything from Real.

Hearing anything from Real? What would you like, a press release confirming their interest?
Anyway, at the moment he doesn't even need to leave, since LVG apparently considers him unselectable.

Sterling is a big improvement on Navas, and Bony will have a full season (and pre-season) so he should contribute fully this year (albeit I am surprised Dzeko and Jovetic have both gone with no replacements brought in).
The difficulty with this is looking at who, if any, of the existing squad improve as well.
We saw it with a few players last season, we may see it again with some more, in addition to some of the signings maybe not hitting the heights we may expect.
For example, on the face of it we may have been weakened in the striker position with Falcao and RVP leaving.
However, if we get more out of Rooney this season as a striker than we did either of those last season - and Hernandez and Wilson, and maybe Depay or Pedro if signed, can provide good cover then we'll have improved in that department.
Every summer people say this team and that team have improved when the reality is that it's rare that every team does improve just because the signings look like they may have improved them or weakened them.

Agreed. Sterling is a massive buy. One of the best young players in the PL who's already been involved in a title race and will improve with players like Silva and Aguero with him. Plus Delph is a solid signing.
And surely Mangala won't be as bad this season.
No Don I don't require a press release from Real.
We all, apart from you it seems, know how Real work.

don't know why i even bothered to interact with you, utter waste of time, as usual, you are a patronising @.r.s.e. who brings nothing to any debate bar a dark cloud of misery.
Lol Delph is a solid signing. Wise up Robb, if United had of signed him this whole board would've been in uproar

Our midfield has improved.
The rest hasn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll agree with that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did it get worse? If not, you have overall improved < ok>
Patriarch, Delph is a solid squad signing. City have deffo improved.
If ddg goes and they get De Bruyne the gap will be widened a lot.
Delph would've been a solid squad signing for a mid table team. Carrick, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, and Herrera, for a start, are all much better!
City could go either way, for me.
They could keep all their key players fit and in form and go on to win the title.
They could also have problems doing that and things may start to go sour in the dressing room and they end up finishing below us, Arsenal and Chelsea.
I don't expect the latter to happen but there are understandably question marks around them, as with all the top four, and I wonder what potential focus/impact the CL may have for them given they really need to starting doing something in the competitiob
City definitely need some kind of kick up the ar-e. Players don't seem overly convinced or behind Pellegrini. Some very good players but also ageing ones.
Just skimmed all the responses and I think only DTKF actually mentions Depay. Huge potential and could be a very exciting player, wide in a front 3, no.10 or even up front if Rooney is out ! So potentially better up front and especially if we get Pedro too

It's all relative though. Their attack is much better than ours and they have a good if not great midfield.
Delph helps their squad and Sterling gives them something up top that Navas doesn't. They have improved.
Pellegrini signed a contract extension today. Bizarre.
I think the top 3 teams are all in much better shape than us. Anyone who denies that it blinded by loyalty.
We're going to do very well to better last season in terms of league position. We should be able to better our style and goals for column quite easily though.
Taking DDG aside (assuming he is now off) I still can't think of a single Utd player who'd get in Jose's best XI.
We've not spent wisely over last 4 windows.
We should sign Jan Oblak, probably cost £20-£25m.
The defence has improved slightly with Darmian. And hopefully (and I stress hopefully) certain players can stay reasonably fit. That would improve us a lot.
Midfield - massive improvement.
Attack - Based on last seasons form, ADM, RVP and Falcao aren't a loss. The latter 2 were probably more of a hindrance than a help anyway.
Keeper - remains to be seen, but the De Gea saga has done us no favours

Trophies it is
Rob, but they may not improve on the pitch - which is the point I'm making.
Yaya could continue to decline, as could Kompany. Silva could start showing signs of age and Aguero could continue to be crocked - all of which could hugely lessen Sterling's impact this season.
You know it's never as simple as 'they signed this player' so they've improved. It's a lazy argument.
This seems a very one eyed article. De Gea is not available for selection. Massively weaker. Didn't bother reading after that
